I feel like I need to say this..

As a person who has been with Destiny since the Beta (and with Bungie since Halo: CE) I feel like you guys should hear this. I think Destiny is the best overall shooter.. easy. That’s why I play.. that said. If you’re going to have pinnacle weapons that are so hard to get, (mountain top, Lunas, recluse, etc) why are you making them obsolete? That is the biggest slap in the face. I just got my Mountain Top.. after thinking I would never get it because the quest was way too hard. Then over this quarantine I found the time to grind that quest out. And I absolutely love this weapon. I get why non pinnacle or ritual legendary weapons should go.. get those the hell out of the rotation. But those weapons and pinnacle weapons are two very different things. One I got from a random drop after a strike, the other I invested hours of my life to get. And the fact that you (Bungie) think that time investment was for nothing then that is absolutely ridiculous. What is it going to hurt to always have a max power Luna’s Howl? An option to use that Mountain Top for the Nightfall? It’s Lore you’re throwing away. Insulting.. I’m insulted. Take away my Trust.. fine. Take away my Blast Furnace.. completely understandable.. the fat needs to be trimmed. But what is the logic of sunsetting weapons that your fans spent hours of their lives grinding for? Just to add something new in its place? That I have to grind for again.. If I want the new Crucible Pinnacle/Ritual/Whatever the next version you call it, weapon.. I will grind for it. But to take away weapons that mean something is not cool. I have heard your reasoning for this and I agree with regular legendary weapons.. yes. All of those should leave the backpack.. but for those special weapons, those pinnacle or ritual weapons, should always have a place. I don’t get why you would make that choice to waste our time. It takes away from the respect I have for the governing of power at Bungie. I have played your games since 2002.. Hopefully my words mean more because of it. Delta..

I'm also a halo CE on original xbox player and a beta destiny 1 player. Used to play split screen on golden eye back in the N64 days if we are really flexing muscles. Not sure why this matters, but you brought it up.... I'm fine with the sunsetting. I have a hard time grinding for new guns when I have most of the god rolls already. Sunsetting should help fix that. I like it when they do resets like taken king or D1 to D2. Theyve nerfed so many guns over the years. Luna's howl, recluse, clever dragon, mountain top, and more. They usually nerf after 9 months, which is 3 months shorter than the sunset period, so we are technically having this stuff longer. If you can't see these nerfs/sunsets coming, you should try to learn from the past.

Be consistent. You cant defend subsetting and then be mad when they sunset everything.
