And are you incompetent game developers going to listen?
-
The number of people isn’t large enough for me to really make a large decision based on that. The people who don’t like it usually scream the most and the people that are for/don’t care never speak because they assume it will happen anyways. Bungie just straight up needs to post polls all the time since they have no clue what the community wants.

2 RespuestasSo a 58/42 split with the majority being against, based on a sample size from a population where it seems that almost every single person who comments is against it. Do you see how that can be kinda shocking? You'd think from seeing the comments on bnet and reddit that thered be a much much larger difference. Like 75%+ against.... But it's not That doesn't give anyone pause?
-
Yeah, this game really sucks

1 RespuestaI am on the fence. Do I want to lose weapons that I worked hard for, of course not. But as long as the new weapons that come out feel good I will always have something to equip. My issue with bungie is their reasoning both now and in D1 when they did it before. Basically they don’t like us getting attached to weapons. We used burn primaries to much in D1, sunset. Certain weapons are strong in the PvP meta in D2, sunset.
-
I'm all for sunsetting...
-
not me, sorry

89 RespuestasEditado por Jvp WReNCh: 5/26/2020 8:45:53 AM3,700 people isn't shit. 58% of a vote comprised of less than 1% of the population that played just yesterday really isn't saying much either. Edit: also, if you look at the poll he did himself, over 8,000 people on Twitter voted for sunsetting. https://mobile.twitter.com/paultassi/status/1264565449280364554

1 Respuesta6500 You think that represents the player base? I don't buy it. Reddit ain't everything.

Editado por Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 5/27/2020 9:21:22 PMUnless they overhaul weapons in general, this is the only way they can address certain issues. Is it the BEST solution? I don’t think so, but I assume it’s the easier and less time consuming one. I don’t exactly like it, but it is what it is. I’m here more for the universe and its stories than anything else anyway. I’ll use whatever I can to experience it. More customization would be nice though....

2 RespuestasEditado por ryebar: 5/26/2020 3:33:24 PMYup. Will Bungie revert their proposed changes to the game based on the feedback from various forums? That is the question. I believe they will. Money matters and I for one won’t be preordering the Fall DLC if these changes are implemented. If I even buy it, it won’t be until after release, and not until independent reviews are out. Who knows, come September maybe another new franchise is worth investing in. There’s still time for Bungie to revert the changes to sunsetting and also revert the nerfs to weapon perks. The sooner they come out and address these issues publicly and either say “we’re changing course based on feedback or screw you we make games we want to play NOT what you want” the better for everyone.
-
1 RespuestaProblem is they already made the change months ago. They are just waiting to update the working engine. We are getting this weather we like it or not
-
12 RespuestasNo, because you're all being crybabies and blowing it out of proportion. Just because you gather in mass and whine, doesn't make you right. It never will. Sunsetting is going to happen, because it's good for the game. Move on.
-
Sunsetting isn't the problem. Year 3 hasn't really had good loot. It's about giving us worthy loot.
-
well... many people are also for adding alot more of of story , content etc. and making the game great again , doesnt mean its gonna happen
-
17 RespuestasNo. The same reason why good parents dont' listen when their kids throw tantrums because they can't have candy for dinner. This move was NEVER going to be popular. Not after Bungie stupidly FED the notion that we could keep stuff forever, even though any experienced loot-game dev could have told them that it would fail. But the fact is that this is necessary to keep this game from withering and dying. So of that 58%? Most will get over it, and keep playing anyway. In fact they'll likely forget all about it in the fall when they get to see the new toys. Those who can't? The game is better off without them.

1 RespuestaI'm so sick of these stupid "Bungie is trash/incompetent/insert insult here" because of a design decision. Bungie clearly has a vision for what they want the game to look like going forward. If you don't like it vote with your wallet and find something else to play. It is 100% within Bungie's rights to create the game they want to make. Because their vision is not your vision doesn't make it bad, it makes it different than the game YOU want to play. So please do us all a favor, uninstall and find something you actually find fun. And on your way out, don't make another one of those attention seeking "I'm leaving because Bungie is ignoring my tantrum" posts. They only ever end up trending because people are happy to let posters know to not let the door hit em on the ass on the way out. ☮️

5 RespuestasBungie has the most resolve of any game developer I’ve seen so far. Most others cave in and listen to their community, then their games fail.

Lmao there been a lot of polls and they vary in which direction they slide.. 6000 people on a pole is a very small sample size seeing as there is between 750k-1mil daily players.. like I for one didnt vote and if I did it would be in favor of gun sunsetting (still reserving judgment on armour). Ghn zunsetting tho needs to happen as the loot poll has become bloated and boring. No new perks can be introduced cause that's just another perk they need to balance and no stronger weapons can be added cause then you start to introduce power creep go keep them stronger and more interesting then the last... I dont know what people arnt getting about it. D1 had sun setting and it worked fine had us looking for new loot constantly instead on using the same loot for years..
-
Ehhh voting on forums and Reddit’s are false . A huge portion only get in to bash on this game . Some people who don’t even play anymore could have voted negative in it . So I call bs just a bunch of b1tches sad over a video game
-
That’s not as cut and dried as it might have been. It’s a small poll of 6500 people and it wasn’t like a 90% against the idea. Perhaps some people are simply bored with the weapons as they’ve grown stale through over use and over familiarity?. And it would be interesting to see a breakdown of weapon use by each individual weapon to see how many barely get used in activities. Perhaps they should sunset say, the bottom 20 and replace those on a rolling basis? Just a thought.
-
They won’t step back. This will happen. Only way they will step back from this if the September expansion sells poorly then they will understand and revert the change to make people buy the expansion. Don’t buy the expansion vote with your wallet and make them step back.

Look, I will try and just give my 2 cents as a veteran player whose main motivation is chasing every single god roll in the game. I am a collector player, and a looter game should be the type of game that welcomes me and respect my time, every single weapon in my vault is a god roll with months or years of time to get it and some from as far as black armory i am still chasing (Still haven't gotten my god roll blast furnace and spare rations). Every season I get the god roll of every new weapon. All this time I poured will be thrown in garbage as this gear I suffered so much to acquire will get an expiration date. What is the point of me playing then if the main reason i play no longer exists (And in fact I quit since they announced sunsetting and wont return till is 100% off the table). Its sad because I really enjoy destiny, and I feel most players feel the same. Most of the emotions veterans collector players feel now isn't rage but deep disappointment that bungie values them so little. I will not go into rage mode or get into winning matches with players for this thing, but for me it ruins the experience, and honestly makes me just not care anymore. The worst is that instead of trying to compromise a better solution, or working to make interesting content, bungie and lots of players just say to collectors like me that I should accept it and keep running the hamster wheel. Well, I will not. Hope they come around but i am realistic enough to know this isn't likely.
-
Bungie has listened and clearly acknowledged that the players don’t want this. What you’re forgetting is what part of the past many years have they shown they care? Sunsetting isn’t really going to hurt their button line enough to deal with the loot persisting. As a free game, people will play so they can now disregard the community with little punishment If realistically anything

5 RespuestasI am for sunsetting but I am strongly against having a world pool engram for Crucible, Strikes, and Gambit. Why can't they create new gear for those? I thought they were getting their vendors refreshed? Refreshed with what? Guns we already have? And 1 armour set for all 3 modes, just with different decals? Is it so hard for them to make a set for each of them? It's only 3. Copy and paste copy and paste. I mean the only way Sunsetting works is if we have a ton of new cool stuff to chase. This is a bad start.
-
Unfortunately, sunsetting was the only logical choice. They could have tried to continue with the huge amount of weapons and armor already in the game, but that had become unsustainable. Or they could have deprecated nearly every weapon, and that would have upset a lot more players. Sunsetting was the compromise. All you can do is hope that Season 12 brings good content that makes gamers excited about the game again.
