Power creep is the lamest boogyman excuse they've come up with over the past year

I am wondering what power creep they are talking about. In Warmind, they literally introduced the newly improved exotics and showcased the Tractor cannon by killing Bracus Zahn in one phase. You can't seriously talk about Power Creep when you release weapons and combination into the game that YOU SHOWCASE can one phase bosses.
