Please adjust these they are beyond annoying.....
if you must keep them please keep them as a knock back only .... so we don’t take damage from them and so we don’t die when we hit anything...

Or you could just not get knocked back like I do. A perfectly placed melee will negate said stomp. I do it all the time. But I do understand how annoying the stomp thing is.

I've had new players to the game leave because they got so sick of being stomped constantly.

1 RespuestaYeah, the Stomp Attacks are ridiculous. Unrealistic, stupid and annoying. How in the hell does a floating robot stomp the ground hard enough to kill me? How in the hell does slamming the ground hurt me, when I'm in the air? Physics aside. The bridge in Reckoning has become dumb luck, based on whether or not you get stomped off the bridge. If you time it just right, maybe, you don't get stomped off and have a chance to complete it, but probably not.

My only problem with this is that the Bungie team keeps nerfing long range weapons to promote the use of swords, shotguns and fusions. If encounters were designed to be played a variety of ways and the stomp mechanic wasn't a thing, players would naturally gravitate towards their favourite weapons instead of valuing range and safety over fun.

1 RespuestaMore damage, less knockback is the general consensus. I'm alright with taking a bit of damage to grab something close to the boss. I'm not ok with going to grab something and being yeeted to the next planet.

I jumped OVER a gambit boss to get to one of the envoys.....he stomped me into a wall....dead 💁♂️

2 RespuestasSome of the "physics" in this game need to be turned the -blam!- down. Like the "boss" stomp should have half the knockback that it does except for the beefiest actual BOSSES. And also getting hit by 2-3 Taken Phalanxes at once that instantly accelerates you to 1000 mph... Ridiculous.

There REALLY needs to be some variation here. I'm ok with a close range attack because well, everything should be capable of close range combat, but I really don't think a stomp should send me literally, across the map, that part is pretty ridiculous. At this point though, all the enemies basically do the same exact things, theres no differentiating actions. There are so many routes to go, like getting pummeled, thrown, punched, slammed, enemies could create singularities to drag players in to a point, they could poison, stagger, the list goes on, its just lazy design. I mean I have to give credit to the Scorn at least because they do deviate from the same old crap, but they really seem to be the only noticeably different enemies at this point. Even the Cabal are turning into everything else.

2 Respuestasi don't know. even a strike boss deserves his fair arsenal of attacks, including stomp mechanics. and there is a way to counter it. by melee'ing as soon the stomp occurs. a lot of streamers do it, if you catch them in the act.

This is why they introduced the passive gaurd mod, and the energy for blocking rather than ammo. With the infinite small melee attacks you can let it recharge, and jump away from enemy to enemy. Swords are in a better place then they’ve ever been, bungie definitely has its issues but they definitely didn’t send us into stop mechanics unprepared

I think they are happy with the melee attack negating it, they do broadcast the stomp so it's not too difficult but some time with fire coming in and supers firing ogff it can be difficult. I could be wrong about them mentioningi it but I can't think of a time they did. Quick Edit: Now that I think about it the f*cking Architects could do with a nerf....
