Bungie is never going to balance pvp as a means to try and bring players back in every season. Some would say that prevents pvp from getting stale, whereas a balance sandbox could make it stale.

Nah it wouldn’t make it stale at all if done correctly. For example have 150s 3 tap head, but in return have 140s 2 head/1 body without damage buff and make them a bit more difficult to use than a 150. With that, have 110s 1 head 2 body, and make those more than a bit harder to use than a 140. So if you want the 1 head 2 body kill, you need to have insane aim to use that archetype. Autos should have the same ttk, BUT they shouldn’t be as stable as they just were buffed to be(the reason behind this current meta)you should actually need to bare the skill to control the weapon to be rewarded with that ttk. Pulses are more than fine same with subs and the shotty nerf was actually really nice. Even for me who uses a shotgun when needs be lol. My point there, is that would open up huge variability. The only way any of those weapons out gun one another is if the player is just better. It was like that for a little while. Do it again 😂once a weapon because a crutch for 75% of players it passes the realm of “meta” IMOP.
