Cough cough a bug that bungie intentionally did not change for 4-5 years. Cough cough.

A bug that didn’t affect anyone on pvp and made pve a fresh experience for grinding strikes. Just because its a bug doesn’t always means it needs to get fixed. You ever heard of the phrase “don’t fix whats not broken”?

but it was broken. being a bug means it's not working properly, by definition.

It wasn’t broken, players weren’t dominating crucible or breaking pve in any way. The only use of sword skating was moving at much faster speeds which is whatever considering we don’t have many places to go at full speeds anyways. It was just a simple fun bug that didn’t hurt or affect anyone. Its not like the wish ender bug where the bow was dealing 10x more damage to bosses, that was definitely broken because gambit was being dominated by the bow. Sword skating though? Didn’t do anything to break any mode, there was no reason to remove sword skating

for the love of god... things aren't broken only if you get an unfair advantage. broken means it's not working as intended and sword skating, however "fun" it may have been, was the consequence of something not working as intended in the game mechanics and consequently needing correction.

Haha, lets use my heavy slot on a sword so I can go slightly faster by using heavy ammo I might not get to use special ammo on a weapon that fills the same roll as a sword, wouldn’t that be totally quirky and op?

People already do that regardless, they are called shotgun apes. With or without the skating you guys run towards people across the map with shotguns anyways. There is no real difference, we also have radar always on so its not like you cant see it coming.

That's something that took a little effort. You needed heavy ammo, to angle yourself correctly, not choke the distance, swap weapons and get a shot off. I was never once killed by that and I never once got a kill that way.

Same, these guys are just pulling BS out of their ass to justify why skating needed to be removed. Truth is they have no real reason to argue but get on the forums seeking attention. These guys have no real legit arguments and it really shows
