You clearly dont understand this change.
Your weapons wont be worthless at all.
You are overreacting.

They will be worthless in the endgame activities which is obviously where you want to use your best/favorite weapons. Sure you can still use them in normal strikes, patrol areas, etc but are people really going to play those just to use their favorite weapon? Im pretty sure they wont. And if the weapons in the undying and dawn seasons are anything to go by then all the weapons will just be average to bad. The only gun i sortve liked from this season was bastion and thats only for pvp.
-
What do you qualify as endgame then. Since they will still be usable in ALL RAID and every ordeal nightfall.
-
Editado por Slayer1745: 3/2/2020 3:01:34 AMUsable or viable bud thats the difference. And endgame to me is the activities that need you to be a higher light level.
-
So raids. And they will still be usable and viable there.
-
Pinnacle activities is endgame bud. Not the old raids
-
I know. But clearly you dont know. Every seasons raid is max light required without artifact. So if your artifact is at 10 levels...that will counter the level loss from your gear every single season for at least 3 seasons. By that point you will have found new gear you like or bungie reversed it.
-
That would depend on what light level the infusion cap would be.
-
No he isn’t over reacting and is in the majority of the player base that don’t want it. They did this already and walked back from it because it failed.
-
They didnt do it once already though in D2. And it didnt fail in D1.
-
It did fail in Destiny. If it was working and making the game better they would of left it. It’s was completely unpopular and wasn’t respecting player choice.
-
Yet no one cared about it5 weeks after it happened because better guns came out. And it will go the same now. Lots of people whining because they will not be able to crutch recluse forever. And a few weeks after the change everyone is fine with it.
-
“The last thing we wanted to as for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it become obsolete... the time you invested in your stuff should be respected.” That was a quote from Deej when they did the sensible thing and walked back weapon rot. It was highly unpopular and failed miserably. If it was successful it would of stayed in the game.
-
It did stay in the game. Otherwise show me a max light level pocket infinity.
-
Editado por The Hermit IX: 3/1/2020 11:30:51 PMYou’re completely wrong and are desperate to justify your point. They did stop it and I posted the quote of when it changed. You’re resorting to semantics. Regardless of your stance it’s obvious the majority of the community aren’t ok with them doing this. It’s a lazy approach and absolutely shows no respect for players time grinding god rolls. If you think a god rolled blast furnace ruins the game and they have to allocate resources to check if it’s broken in new activities, I have a bridge for sale... let me know if you’re interested.
-
Editado por G0lden Hunt3r: 3/1/2020 11:33:52 PMOk. So instead of just whining. Offer some other way to make it so that people would use new weapons with the same rolls over older ones. All you people do is say it is a bad idea. But you offer no counter arguement as to what they could also do. And i am not wrong. Otherwise you could show me a max light level pocket infinity.
-
Editado por The Hermit IX: 3/1/2020 11:45:41 PMRight... anyone who takes issues with their time being disrespected is a cry baby. So everyone should be an inane drone and just follow along like you. Once again you are in the minority not the majority. This has nothing to do with with any of the reasons mentioned in the DC but instead the desire to move back closer to vanilla year 1. Making weapons obsolete in pinnacle activity allows them to introduce a new weapon pool that’s weaker perk wise. It allows you tubers, streamers and writers to have a new gravy train of reviews and videos. I’d have no issues with them creating weapon rot on the new weapons they introduce as opposed to doing it to our vaults. Maybe they can reintroduce new pinnacle weapons that are OP but have a 1 year shelf life. You can chase after it knowing it’s a one year weapon. They can easily develop around that knowing players like you will use them at every turn seeing they’ll be OP. So this way you can get your weapon rot and we can maintain our choice of load outs. This is pretty simple a kindle orchid isn’t breaking the game so leave it alone.

Don't get into it with Bungle apologists. They have no respect for your opinion, time or logic. Just accept they will never understand your perspective because they lack empathy.

Editado por G0lden Hunt3r: 3/1/2020 11:52:34 PMYou just proved to everyone you have no idea why they are doing it. It is not that there is anything wrong with old guns. It is because no one uses new guns when they have the same roll old guns. That is why most people on PC still use the season 1 midnight coup. Because it has outlaw and rampage and is a 150 RPM. Also...people still use recluse even though there are other weapons out there just as good. There is no reason for them to make weapons if they wont get used. Also...the people who are against it are the actual minority. Reading through all posts made...more people understand why they are doing it compared to people who dont like it. Also...you are proving me right when you dont come up with a counterarguement. And it is not like you cant use your old guns. They will still be usable in 95% of the content.
-
Editado por The Hermit IX: 3/2/2020 12:19:22 AMThat’s complete nonsense and shows what a fanboy you actually are. I use different weapons to do certain things. Some are old and some are new. It really depends on what you’re doing, if they’re are bounties involved and if there’s energy requirement or burn. But with that said, that is 1) Player choice... if you want to run a better devils , it should be the players choice. I’m not ok with being corralled to use specific things. I like to use different load outs for different activities and I’m totally fine and comfortable with using both old and new weapons I’ve grinded. 2) Just because a new gun is new, doesn’t make it better. For instance I have god rolled 200 RPM scouts. Patrons and Night Watch. I prefer my Night Watch rapid hit/multi killclip so I use them. I still use a Patron on my Titan sometimes but I prefer my Night Watches. The idea of new weapons is nice. We all love loot but everyone has their favorites. 3) Respecting a players time. Everyone I know that plays has spent countless hours chasing very specific rolls on specific weapons. A vast majority of players did this with the expectation that they would have them throughout D2. So moving forward many players won’t grind weapons like they used to. It’s a self defeating philosophy to a game with RNG based loot drop based on blindly grinding things. This philosophy doesn’t work and will fail miserably. If the player base feels disrespected by the lack of acknowledgement of time invested, removing more choice from the game and force feeding new things that aren’t as good under the guise of improvement, it will fail. This isn’t about anything mentioned outside of creating a “new excitement”. It won’t but it will alienate the player base even further than before. You’re in the minority chief and this will be a big issue they will have to reconsider.
-
And as i aid. You can still use the old weapons in 95% of the content. In every strike. Every crucible mode except IB and trials. Every ordeal difficulty. In every raid. In all patrolls/forges. In menagery. It is not like the weapons become locked as everyone seems to think.
-
Yeah we can all run patrols and PVP players don’t care outside of IB and eventually Trials. It’s simple he wants to water things down. That’s how he envisions the game at its optimal point. Those approaches are failed philosophy of vanilla year 1. Maybe they need to focus on important things like actually improving the game itself instead of a watered down new loot pool that you tubers love seeing they get a new gravy train of videos of the new shiny stuff to mesmerize the new light players.
-
You can still do all raids and all ordeal difficulties with them too.
-
So yeah capping them really sounds like it will get the new loot pool used... you’re in a losing argument. They do this and it’s their business algorithm. Break things slowly down to awful then build it up to fantastic and then everyone comes back. All of this stuff is smoke and mirrors. They need to focus on improving the actual game and separating PVE and PVP so this nonsense will stop. It’s a great game and I love it but post forsaken they have no real vision.
-
sure, he can use the weapons in low level activities, caves on planets, blind well, etc not in end game activities sooooo if he plays a lot of end game... yes they're worthless perhaps you don't understand the changes
-
He can only not use it in activities above 1000 light level. So he can use it in EVERY RAID UNTILL NOW...even next season's raid. So every single strike. Every patroll location. Every raid . Crucible. Menagery. Even the ordeal up to legend difficulty.
