to me it just seems like a way to make some extra money and it made me lose almost all interest in destiny i cant use the dlc ive already bought so i dont see a reason to play
edit: im not specifically targeting bungie here it probably came off as that but i meant that we should be allowed to use the dlc we bought i know about the licensing companies and all that this was also the only place i knew to post it

3 RespuestasEditado por Spawn: 3/1/2020 2:22:16 PMThis is the way content distribution works in this digital age. When you purchased your current DLC on Sony/PS4, that grants you a license on Sony's platform. If you want to play on Valve/Steam's platform you're going to need a license with them. You can't buy a movie ticket in a theater and use it in a different movie theater, even if it's the same movie.

4 RespuestasEverything in D2 is kinda stupid. That's the Bungie Tag Line. BUNGIE... We Go dumb.

Ninja's reply was a killer. I see no flaws on the base logic, sorry.

Then blame the various licensing companies (Microsoft, Sony, Steam, etc)

2 RespuestasThat’s platform licensing, not bungie.

Different licenses, different companies, different platforms.

Does the same go for pretty much every other game though🤔

If you buy a PS4 game it doesn’t work on XB1, PC or Switch. The same goes for DLC. They’re different platforms. We should be happy that the way the season pass works is cross platform. I wish it was buy once play anywhere as there are a few games I’ve wound up buying on more than one platform over the years.

Made me wish I could Transfer my D1 characters to PS4

Yeah but that's digital content for you. Companies won't take other companies licenses so you're just kinda stuck. It would mess up DLC for people who game share on Xbox and PS4 but I wonder if they could just tie DLC to your account so you can take it anywhere like seasons?
