Is There A Purge? Also Banned, No Idea Why
Wednesday I tried logging in to play a session of Destiny 2 via Steam. I am kind of new and I vaguely recall playing the game a bit on Blizzard's Battle.net. I've been playing alone for the most part, maybe joined a few random players, and am spending most of my time standing around confused while I alt-tab for tips on what I am supposed to be doing. I'm still very new at the game and struggling along alone.
I thought I was starting to figure things out. It took me awhile to learn how to call the hover-bike. I'm still perplexed by bounties and quests and what's what and where. On Tuesday I managed to complete a quest which I thought was cool; I rarely manage to finish one before real life interrupts. I'm just a lot more used to a pause feature and that's not a thing in Destiny 2.
Anyway so I tried logging in Wednesday and I get a warning my entire account has been banned. What the ...? I sent an e-mail relaying that sentiment. I honestly wouldn't even know how to cheat or for what reason. I think I tried the PvP area once or twice, did terribly, I still fumble a lot of controls and don't know the weapons. I'm not cheating there. Exploits? Nope. I will use a CPU limiter on occasion if my old quad core runs hot but that's a machine utility. Maybe it's GoG 2.0? I use their GUI. Maybe an open browser window?
Their response was quoting me stating I use a CPU limiter to keep my machine from melting down Chernobyl-style. That was it. Nothing more. Weird. That could be their reason or it could be I had played on Battle.net, forgot, started playing again using Steam. I don't know.
What I do know is I was going to put a few bucks into Destiny 2 because I actually like it! I even had it planned and then Wednesday happened. What the ...? 2020 sucks. Uninstalled from machine. What a sad and ignoble end.
