Bungie stated they knew if they removed trials to rework it, they needed to deliver a good trials back to us. So we lose a weekend activity that many of us enjoyed with our friends or family. Just for them to return it to us with 3 d1 maps and d1 armor.
What am I missing here? No new maps? No new armor? I personally liked the d1 armor that's returning, but we needed to wait 2 years for that? Personally the armor returning is yikes. But I wouldn't mind returning weapons as much.
Also it's not even an ornament so likely the stat rolls will be lower than our already god rolled armors some of us have. Sorry but I won't sport trials armor if the rolls are between 48-54 base.
Hopefully the weapons are good. Like I said above, I wouldn't mind doctrine coming back that was the only trials weapon I fell in love with from d1.
Sorry for being a negative Nelly. But i am slightly disappointed!

2 RespuestasBungie be like “we need to take our time because just rereleasing D1 trials won’t work” https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47630 Bungie takes their sweet time. Ends up releasing 3v3 elim trials, with card based matchmaking, D1 armor and D1 maps.... but it’s apparently not “D1 trials” Okay Bungie lol

Editado por Trafalgar_Lou: 2/27/2020 10:20:09 AMAnyone who thinks this is anything but lazy is in denial. Blinded by the fact your favourite game mode is back you fail to see all of its contents are 5 years old. Imagine any other game bringing content back 5 years old. Hahaha. I’ve quoted it before and I’ll quote it again. “Let down a playerbase enough until all they expect is disappointment, then mediocrity will be held as an achievement” Undying mind, corridors of time, nerfs or nothing, weapons retiring, no PvP renewed focus, no iron banner weapons, iron banner armour back for the third time. The care is GONE.

1 RespuestaBut this is what the community demanded. Trials of Osiris. And they're getting it... I don't see the issue. The armor is still the best looking armor across destiny 1 and destiny 2. They could design new armor, but I doubt it would look as good as Osiris armor. As for the maps, I agree they should design new maps. But at least the maps we're getting are good maps.

Community: we want trials back Bungie: gives trials Community: but trials is the same, make a different. We don't want it back 🤦
-
I seem to remember them saying just bringing D1 Trials back wouldn't work....Guess they changed their minds.

1 RespuestaSeason of file porting .

7 RespuestasYes because no company ever reskins anything. Now go play madden 7008. Now with new button to pass the ball. Or play mario. The princess has been kidnapped, again. Or play fortnight or apex. They are free and you get the joy of playing on the same damn stage over and over. Its not the end of the world and why is there almost never any posts about the harrible shot registration in this game? My bygoneses kill clip basically doesnt work anymore. Cant have brand new 2 and a half year old game every 3 months.
-
2 RespuestasTo be fair ....the ones hyping up the return are the same fools that never hold Bungie accountable! They know their market, the fans of this game have low standards. 2 years and a mess of reheated items.
-
6 RespuestasYou don't have to play it if it's not what you want....
-
now now, if Dev created new maps, weapons and gear well, they'd have to create maps, weapons and gear... they'd have to actually create something you see the problem: copy paste is no work work is work therefore, copy paste is better !! oh and they'll vanish your old weapons and return them in a few months, then expect you to grind them again ! how convenient for them !
-
Lazy? Yes. But I miss my trails armor and I’d love to waste weeks and risk high levels of stress for it. Wait. This doesn’t sound healthy
-
Personally i'm looking forward to it, i missed the first trials. I'm a hardcore destiny player
-
Nonono The new armor is in Eververse!

1 RespuestaYOU PUSHED BUNGIE TO MAKE THIS SHT COME ON
-
The hunter chest ornament glow looks like the shit armour you get from just playing in D1 trials
-
2 Respuestaspanicked at the negativity the game is getting right now so they rushed it out to try appease everyone, it will be a dumpster fire.
-
15 RespuestasBungie finally did it. People are actually ok with reskins now. Wow Every twab, we reach a new low. Way to go Bungo
-
27 Respuestas"just give us trials from D1" *Wtf it's just a reskin of d1 trials"
-
4 RespuestasSame. Very strange. Not really interested anymore. Just a glowing eye for a couple days on a flawless. Meh. Where's the feathery, Stargate meets Destiny themed armor?

I’m looking forward to Trials, but I’m also tempering my expectations. People have been saying to literally copy and paste D1 ToO, and this is probably as close as it gets. Always nice to see old maps return (although I’m really surprised someone called Cauldron their “favorite” map). The OG armor set has returned with a twist, which is a neat twist, but I’m glad that one of the best sets in franchise history has returned. For the most part, I have a lot of questions. Another armor set was shown in the team lineup 👀 New Trials set? World drop? Eververse set? Who knows yet. Definitely have concerns with the artifact’s bonus light level, especially since it’s confirmed to still be active in PvP. How will it scale to other guardians? Do we have any new ddos protection or anti-cheat?, who knows. Are matches going to function just like current Elimination? Is there a Trials card and/or boons, and how will they function. We’ve seen some of the weapon changes, and we’ll get some class notes next twab, but they won’t be the full list. What will the final changes look like? Will there be a separate sandbox for Trials?, since that’s been speculated since the trailer dropped. Will mods work? What other loot can we expect to obtain ( ascendant shards?enhanced mods?new ToO mods? Etc.) Will it be available only on weekends like in D1? Are there bounties? Tokens? Can we earn the old D2 armor sets/ weapons? Is Saint-14 gonna commentate? There’s a lot of unknowns going in to this, so all I can hope it ends up being good, but also realize there’ll probably be some adjusting needed, and probably some bugs. Fingers Crossed 🤞

1 RespuestaDid they fix the netcode?
-
5 RespuestasI think it's a let down in a way. They could have brought back some old content from D1 and did something new at the same time. They made a point to tout how hard they worked to bring back something good but if it's just reusing old assets and maps, mechanics etc. It's literally just using and polishing up and moving D1 trials to this sandbox. It's nothing new or updated at all.
-
Well y’all wanted Trials. Here ya go. Be careful what you wish for in dealing with Wish Dragons indeed.

2 RespuestasEditado por thatdudeEd54: 2/26/2020 8:54:51 AMTo be fair most of the d1 maps that have been brought fourth to D2 have been well recieved. Reskinned or not, bungie is giving what the people want. I can only think of 3 maps that players didnt really take kindly of returning, but still up there in terms of good maps to play in. Those maps would be Distant Shore (Shores of Time), Convergence (Pantheon), and Twilight Gap
-
5 RespuestasLiterally just had this realization. I’m all about bringing old stuff back, BUT you HAVE to balance it with new. If there is not a SINGLE new map in the update, I will basically call that being stolen from. HOW MUCH content have we paid for twice?!?
-
3 RespuestasPeople are finnaly seeing... I'm personally not paying for next season, I'll move on to another game for now. They will see once more players leave. Sad thing is.. New players are right around the corner too.
