And here you learn that just because you can play the way you want doesn't mean that it's the most effective way to do that.
That's a huge misconception with players in this game.
Play how you want but there are inherent rules to how engagements work.
If you feel like swords are not that effective against boss stomp then you're going to need to sit back and use ranged weapons. If say somewhere in the DPS phase that the boss has been stunned then you can definitely walk in with your sword and your shotgun and pull back when it's time.
you cannot simply believe that you're just going to roll up to the boss and face roll them with your sword and shotgun. That's not good engagement.

Editado por Rohirin: 2/24/2020 5:47:45 PMI think you're getting some interference in what I'm saying vs what you're hearing. So let's go back over this. The thread is about boss stomp and why it's impractical to use swords and shotguns. Since I don't know what's going on in your head when you read it, I can only assume you're trying to state that snipers aren't dead (Which I'm not arguing about) and that there are other options. I went and listed two weapon types that have not worked based on experience using different tactics and methods in my gameplay, not a youtuber's. I've tried just about every trick in the book and even mentioned two of the problems inherent with using close range weapons on a stomping boss. I've tried ducking in and out, tried stun locking the boss, tried it all. Swords and shotguns aren't as effective as fusions, snipers, rockets, grenade launchers, LMGs, even scouts and autos do more dps than those two. I was even using Wishender before it was broken because broadhead would do more damage over time to the boss than what my shotgun or sword could do. That's not even bringing into account minions. If I get stomped by the boss, there's usually a few of the tankier ones around. I then have to choose between wasting the ammo on them or pulling out and possibly missing an entire damage phase.

okay so in your experience you don't believe that swords and shotguns are effective against bosses at close range. Well I can tell you that they are but you need to do it at specific times. You can just walk up to it and just expect to face roll the boss. Again taking your experience into account, you can play how you want but that doesn't mean the choices you make are effective choices in your engagements. If they aren't that good then you're going to need to find the opening. If that's specific boss doesn't have an opening big enough to use a shotgun or sword then don't use them. But that doesn't mean you can't use them. I honestly don't know what else there is to say regarding this. You have to think about your engagements and see what's the best suited weapon for it. Bus stop or no, bungee can look back at how swords and shot guns behave after these coming seasons. Swords are getting tweaked and shotguns their re-rolling older shotguns with better perks. We have to just find out if that will solve the problem regarding damage.

You're still not getting the message, so I'll put it simply for you. Me.Never.Say.Me.Expect.To.Faceroll.Boss.With.Sword.Or.Shotgun. Me.DID.Say.Me.Have.Try.Every.Different.Kind.Of.Way.To.DPS.Boss.With.All.Weapons. Me.Also.Say.Me.Through.Testing.Have.Found.Certain.Weapons.Not.Effective.On.Bosses. Every.Time.Me.Use.Sword.Or.Shotgun.Me.End.Up.Dead.Due.To.Boss.Stomp.Or.Adds.AND.Boss.Stomp. TLDR-I've been playing this game for a lot longer than you and I am saying what I have found effective against bosses through experience in high end content. I AM saying that any other weapon is more useful in a boss encounter than shotguns and swords. If you don't believe me, go watch one of Datto's videos on boss damage and see where swords and shotguns rank in boss damage. Math doesn't lie.

9 total raid clears between d1 and d2 (1 in d2 being only last wish) would not be experienced in endgame content. Sorry not sorry
9 total raid clears between d1 and d2 (1 in d2 being only last wish) would not be experienced in endgame content. Sorry not sorry
I've actually done more than 9 total raid clears. In D2 I've completed Last Wish and Leviathan a few times. In D1, I've cleared all of the raids a few times. Don't know where you're getting your bad info from but you might want to research before you flap your gums. Muted for stupidity. Definitely not sorry.

Alright bub. Have a good one. You want to be a jerk? Go for it. Muted

So being honest and trying to speak plainly so that you can understand what I'm saying are considered "Being a jerk" these days? I'm not sure whether to feel sorry for this guy or just mute him. Oh well, since he muted me, I don't have to deal with it anymore. Yay!

These nerfs are f'ing moronic and outside of erentil (waaahhhh), no one asked for this crap. They are just begging me not to buy their next expansion.

First and foremost, don't bother playing the game if that's your attitude. Capcom tells me how to play monster Hunter and may allow me to do a bunch of things but I cannot seemingly do everything that I want to do in inceborne. I can't face roll the data fights in kingdom hearts 3 with the Ultima keyblade by just mashing X. There are rules in the engagement that pretty much will state that I will get wrecked if I don't know how to maneuver my character. Destiny? you've been playing this game since the beginning and you still don't understand the way the rules work? Either you've been in a coma or you just don't like the game anymore. Either way? it's time to pack up and you play a different game that you like but I'm going to tell you right now that every game you buy will have inherent rules and will definitely tweak things to keep the gameplay healthy.

The rules are malleable and at Bunghole's flawed discretion. So yeah, I will come on their forum and give them shite for stupid nerfs that no one asked for outside of erentil. Grenade launchers are problematic. Who gives a shite? I don't want the dipshites at Bungie dictating what weapons I use for something as f'ing silly as but we want you to use other weapons. That's just piss poor design. D2 is a pretty game. Sort of like a smoking hot woman with an IQ of 10. Sure, she has basic motor skills, but beyond that...
-
You don't care how the rules work? Okay then then don't play the game. there is your answer. Go find a game that you can engage with that pleases you. That's not hard to do. You don't need to be a masochist to any sort of degree. Just do what you enjoy doing. I just hope it's not doing the things you hate or strongly dislike.
-
You just like to play aggressive, don't you?
-
-
Well yea, you're right about that. But just wanna stay at friendly term. I'm not good at arguing.
-
Actually, nevermind. Forget what I said. I wanna stay neutral.
-
I mean look, if you aren't trying to troll and you're asking an honest question then go for it. I don't mind

Garden of salvation?

I've completed all the raids with my clan and blueberries
-
No.....I mean destiny 2's raid....
-
Editado por Necrogen: 2/24/2020 7:58:50 PMI have, ive completed all of them.
-
Have you ever play raid before? Don't mind if I ask.

The mobile game?

They've reworked things since the early days of D1. You' d think people haven't played for years with their tantrums. You're right, they have a right to make the game mechanics how they want. I mean all in all it's their universe they created. People just need to be happy they were able to do what they could while they could. Change is good to those who embrace it. But most people here want to cheese bosses rather than feel good about bringing in variety and not "one-phasing" bosses for lack of better way to put it.
-
I'll never say that no one is entitled to their opinion. I hold people to specific standard though. I want people to make intelligible arguments or at least point to someone who can articulate their points. Even if you come up short at the end or you end up being right I'd rather you have a great discussion then to come up with some short-sighted subjective sentimental rant. it's boring man. The same things over and over and over. We get it people want the use the same thing since the beginning of the franchise. They don't want to change they don't want to grow they don't want anyting to threaten their play style. All the while a player is engaging in a live service game that evolves over time. We have to let things go.
