Get rid of affinity entirely and dont introduce nothing in place, just let us put mods on anything we want!
This is what it should have been!
Punishing people for masterworking their gear, by making them spent all their hard earn materials all over again is just WRONG!
Bungie stop being like this, supposedly everybody at Bungie is a smart individual. So anyone at Bungie knew exactly how this would have come across the moment this got decided. So stop being contrarian just to be like f the community, we do what we want by, always trying to be sly with your ways of acting like you giving us something but destoying it by putting a highly hated anti measure for the same issue you supposedly just fix.
Bungie please be better!

There’s nothing wrong with the element system at all. And if players were masterworking Armor right now it’s because they were happy with the element. I’ve masterworked a set on each character and am happy with the elements so I won’t be switching. This is more aimed at getting a drop but it the wrong element so you switch it around before you upgrade it. It’s purely a buff and am glad they’re doing this, I love how they’re changing the season mods too

It’s supposed to be an option. An expensive and discouraged option, but, this is Bungie. They’ll acquiesce to our demands, but begrudgingly. All I say is affinity shouldn’t be a thing on exotics. Period.

7 Respuestasguys, dont worry to much .... bungie found a way to push players away, and they will exploit it, till noone plays anymore. first they bring armor2.0 ...where we got a mod restriction based on elements. than they put it, an horrible ammound of materials we need to get to MW our items. than every 3 months we are forced to do all again, because the old season armor is "useless" in a new season. than they bring up one exploit after anpother, server problems like hell, rollbacks, and more trouble. some players may see it, some dont care, some are just blind, and some just dont even know waht we are talking about. the only thing at bungie what is working for 100% is : the eververse shop, and there twitter side spammed with merchandeise shit. basicaly each season they remind us who is the boss arround here, with a hugh faceslap for the community. first we farm and spend tons of mats for the portal behind cora. and guess what , nothing happend, we got the same shit, only 1 new boss...... now they put out saint-14 and guess what ? we have to spend BILLIONS of fraktaline.. what for ? ok we can use it to get some weapons .. where basicaly 3 of them are usefull, and the rest is just crapp for the bank, but yeah now its called a community ervent. and each week they raise the numbers to prevend us from being to fast or reach the goal after all. and for what ? trials ? a pvp mode ? so basicaly if we have trials, after 6 weeks nnone will play it anymore because the PVP is already swarmed with cheaters, teleporters, and exploit users. bungie is going more and more in the opposite direction of the community, and far away from the stuff, the community wants. they belive that a community cant do anything but accept the crapp and shit they throw at us. well division 2 got a realy great update... anthem2.0 is comming. there are many manyother games arround who will dragg players away from destiny. maybe than they will understand . that bungie is nothing without the community. i doubt they will run empty servers.... atm mostly arround 80k to 120k players are playing ...from a peek of 400k and more ....we are already the rest that remains here.and yet.. bungie keeps us pushing more and more to the edge where have no choice as to leave ... mark my words now, and save this posting and topic. for the next 4 months, than we talk again ...

I could care in the slightest what they do with the armor at this point. They could give me magic stats to the moon and it wouldn't matter because I have nothing to play with all the new magic stuff. I think I need to take a break for a few months and delete the game off my PS4. UGH!

Agreed. People that have fully masterworked gear that want to change it, if they dont have the materials they will have to grind for them. Removing the elemental affinity for armor would be better period.

Affinity was good as a concept but in reality it’s been nothing short of community wide aneurysm. But I will say there does need to be some system that allows for replayability other than the stat grind and aesthetics.

2 RespuestasBeing able to put whatever mods and such on whatever gear is nice and all but it kills replayability in this game. We have max stat roll armor already from the season pass. Now we can put whatever we want on it. Why grind for another armor set ever again? We just need more sources for the enchancement related stuff (and some costs needs to be reduced, and master work bonus should be greater for exotics)

21 RespuestasI'm on the team of it should either be no cost change or a flat rate of 1 upgrade module no matter the rank. With that said this fix is still a horribly executed fix. Them being better is most likely impossible currently.
