So I re-watched Toy Story 2...

That was the movie I remembered the least of the series. So I thought to myself "hey, why not rank the Pixar movies?" Pixar has produced some pretty excellent movies over the years (with some fairly obvious exceptions) Here is my not so definitive but currently accurate position on the top ten best* Pixar movies Take "Best" with a grain of salt. There aren't that many Pixar movies. THE LIST 10: Incredibles 2. This movie I feel was decently fun to watch and overall I would say not bad. However there was a slight political overtone. Thankfully it wasn't too heavy-handed but I still hate social messages. Also I honestly believe the movie could have been better. There is definitely a lot of unnecessary nostalgia bait in the movie sadly. 9: Toy Story 2. The title movie of this thread. This movie spawned a heckuva lot of memes. Enjoyable definitely but most likely the weakest entry in the series. Jessie was such a strange character in the movie. Her mood swings struck me as odd. 8: Finding Dory. This movie while obviously a cash grab never felt lazy or unwritten to me. There were very few actual callbacks to the first movie and it felt like they were actually trying to make a new movie. 7: Finding Nemo. The movie about a clownfish who loses his wife and then his son and proceeds to search for said son. The ocean looks beautiful in this movie and the characterization is pretty good. The story flows not too terribly and overall is pretty good. 6: Inside out. A more recent entry for Pixar. This movie had a lot of the classic Pixar character that I want. Other than the enormous plot hole midway through the movie, It truly felt unique enough to be desirable. 5: Toy Story. The one that started it all. A winner If I do say so myself. A classic adventure story that still pleases to this very day. 4: Up. The first 10 minutes of this movie is quite arguably the peak of Pixar's creative genius. Retains most of its character and charm throughout the film. A touching story of loss and friendship. It does have a few weaknesses like its rather strange progression. 3: Toy Story 3. This movie is the best Toy Story for me. The end was near fantastic, the villain was the best and the message makes complete sense. Wrapped up the Andy saga the best it could. 2: Wall-E There is something to be said of the atmosphere that this movie evokes. Of how it transitions from a desolated earth to space utopia/dystopia mix. Of a romance that is silly, fun and interesting all at once. There are certain things in Wall-E that I feel few movies have expanded upon. 1: Incredibles. A super hero movie at its finest. A true work of art. A story that is not only realistic but real. Easily the most rounded and most entertaining and most quotable and most simply wonderful work that Pixar has ever or most likely will ever produce. I didn't include Toy Story 4 in my deliberations because I feel it's a little soon to rank it.
