I thought the puzzle was neat in concept, but not thrilled that streamers annointed themselves as the only source of entry.
If Bungie does this again there should be something in game that keeps track. Or a progress bar of some sort.
I found that most streamers came across as very narcissistic. Which whatever, you do need to have a central point of information, but it turns alot of people off, or it creates the mind set of , "meh theyll figure it out." Thats not how to properly engage a community. Annointing a few with power is not how to engage everyone.
This is just my view though, feel free to disagree, thats how you create converstaion.

A puzzle that requires compiling and deciphering that much information isn't a puzzle to me. It's not possible for one person or one small clan to do it. That turned me off instantly, because I'm supposed to trust that hundreds of people didn't make a mistake or they'd be wasting my time. The image from The corridors is one thing, you can reasonably assume that they found the correct way through because of the end room, but arranging the tiles? No way.

I agree with this. The streamers aren't playing the same game I am. Raids? Yeah... can't do those since I haven't gotten a single clear on anything, and LFG's needs those clears to let you in. Grind for God Rolled weapons in this terrible era of RNG? Yeah...Can't do that since I don't have the time. I'm working full-time, and D2 is not my full-time job. It's what I do when I have an hour or two of free time. PvP? I play PvP, but I almost never have the "meta"-loadouts. So... comp? For fun yeah, for NF and Legend? -blam!- no, I aint got time for that. I could go on, but my point is this. D2 Is becoming less and less a game I can get on and play when I have time. It's catering for the no-lifers, which is fine. But not when it -blam!-s everyone else over like it does now.

A progress bar or a goal that the community at large can achieve leading to events and eventually to a community wide reward would be great. You know, the faction rally's were a decent example of something like this. A public event that pitted the community against each other to achieve loot but instead being a pvp arena make it pve... us ALL versus them. Like using giving ikora all those vex materials to build a gate but at the end it would give us something cool, not a new face to an old mechanic.
