This feels like the end of the game. Barely limping along season to season. No ambition for a big release. Just limp along and drain the last bit of cash out of the franchise.

1 RespuestaDestiny 2 has so much content but none of it even matters. Destiny 1 had less content and yet felt better to play than D2. The replay-ability is gone in Destiny 2.

2 RespuestasJust a follow-up comment... no, this isn't the end, not even close. I can tell you what was almost the end... December/January of the first year of D2. The great "Casual Experience First" experiment came crashing down around Bungie's ears, followed by a pitiful DLC release (Curse of Osiris), followed by one of the worst Eververse scandals in the December Dawning event, followed by throttling XP to force Eververse sales... Yeah, that's what the end looked like. The population had dropped to unsustainable levels, and Bungie knew it. The game had become a meme for how a AAA title could turn into a joke overnight. There were plenty of us on the board loudly proclaiming (after the D2 beta preview) this path would kill the game, and many of us were reviled for saying so. Sadly, we were right. Bungie was forced to right the ship, and barely, just barely, survived. Now they are an independent studio, and now they are working on their next IP. If you've been around since D1 began, you know how this works... we are in sustain mode for now. There will be releases, but work obviously has shifted to the next title. That doesn't mean we won't get new stuff, but it's not going to come at a pace we would see if this was a brand-new IP. Maybe it's the pragmatist in me, but I can't help but feel there are only so many pulse rifles you can make, only so many hand cannons, only so many variants of armor... and every new or different item you create has a ripple effect on everything else, upsetting balance so many people get wound up about. I've been one of the harshest Bungie critics ever on the service, and I still say you have to parse what they say, but I can be fair enough to say they deserve credit for the amount of content we currently have. I can empathize with the range of events they have to manage, and how it all weaves together to make a living world. Look, there is a ton of stuff to do, and either you want to play it or don't. But... that's another issue - motivation. What motivates anyone to play? You have the action people who aren't tied to gear or weapons, they just want action. Nerfs, buffs... don't matter. As long as there is action, they are fine. Then you have experience people, who want their characters to grow, to explore, to become more powerful, gain new abilities, solve quests... to them, repeating material, however good, is not palatable. Neither side is right or wrong, but if you want to play a game this old, you have to shift your mindset a bit and realize the content will never keep pace with the appetite, so the question becomes "do you want it all at once, or do you want it to drip?" I'll take the drip. That gives me a reason, as an experience player, to log in day after day. I prefer having stuff to do, goals to accomplish, power to gain, etc. Giving me the whole DLC at a time so that it can be consumed inside a month guarantees a two-month drought every cycle. No, thank you.

17 RespuestasThere is more stuff to do now than ever before. You either enjoy doing it or you don’t. Raids? Multiple choices. Strikes? Yup. Nightfalls? Multiple levels. Match made multiplayer PvE activities (Menagerie, etc.)? Multiple choices. PvP options? Multiple choices. We have ways to guarantee weapon and armor drops. We have cross-platform save. We have nearly certain paths to exotics. What we apparently don’t have is perspective. I played D1 from the start, have been a Destiny player throughout its lifespan, and we have never had a time with more to do, more places to go, or more places to see. Sure, sometimes I get tired of playing, but that’s usually after binging. I will say categorically I’ve gotten 100% value for my purchase both on console and PC. If/when the day comes I tire of this I will move on with no regrets. Right now it’s a terrific bang for the buck.

Lmaooooooooo "is this how it ends" son you sound like an anime villain on his last leg 🤣🤣

3 RespuestasBungie is just.. bad. They aren't a game company, they're strictly a business like EA.

Editado por sixty9tea: 1/26/2020 12:26:43 AMBungie isn't like Burger King where you can have it your way. If Burger King was like Bungie, you might experience this at Burger King: Welcome to Burger King, How may I help you? -I'd like a Whopper with lettuce, tomato, onions and ketchup. I'm sorry but you can't have lettuce if it's paired up with tomato and onions. -ok well scratch the lettuce and give me some mustard? I'm sorry but we can't serve mustard with tomato and ketchup. -well just give a whopper with ketchup? Sorry you must select at least 4 items for your whopper. -How about you go bleep yourself with a hot greasy spatula while I get the bleep out of here. Bungie: Armor 2.0, it's the same as Armor 1.0 except we reversed engineered to make you think you have control but you really don't. Just check the pre-determined boxes before playing our game, our way.

Bungie lost any and all passion after D1. Everything is so... watered down and by the numbers.

6 RespuestasPlaying D1 right now and having more fun going through all the story and dlc than I’ve ever had on D2 D1 has a kind of mystique about it. Right from the opening note when you load up it’s there. Everything just feels like you’re a space magic wielding badass trying to keep the darkness away D2 is just go do this thing 400 times to get this gun

24 RespuestasBarely limping along would be how D1 was between TTK and RoI. Continuously releasing new content which is what they're doing now is the very opposite of limping around.
-
rumors of D3 this fall though! i think!
-
1 RespuestaGod, I hope so. Bungie could then finally move on to create another IP and hopefully not massacre that one.

11 RespuestasHow do you know there is no ambition for a big release? They had a seasonal model last year. Unlike last year there’s story to go along with this years season stuff. But even after last year’s seasons we got ShadowKeep, a big content release. I’m sure September of this year will see another big release. Maybe not D3, but at least another expansion larger than a typical season.

4 RespuestasEditado por Demon_XXVII: 1/25/2020 5:46:11 PMThere will be one final bounty 😆 Step 1: Start a Twitch Stream & whilst Live, hype up/promote Bungie’s next IP (without a clue of its content) Step 2: Acquire 10k Viewers Step 3: Spend 2k Silver on a “Throw Money at Screen” emote Step 4: Send Doughnuts to Luke (via sponsored Krispy Kreme promo) Step 5: Get invited to Annual Summit, sign NDA & continue to ‘create content’ hyping up Bungie’s next IP ...”Matter” (which ironically the players opinions don’t!) Step 6: Fall asleep streaming a pointless puzzle reveal, waking up to find 15436 weird fvcks have watched you drool down your chin for the last 5 hours! Step 7: Go to GA & admit that you’re on the verge of a fvcking mental breakdown (you named your children Gambit & Tess, remortgaged the house & bought all the ‘sparkly shit’ in Eververse, and still can’t get a decent roll Spare Rations) Step 8: Go see Ada-1 (this is how all bounties should end)

3 RespuestasTake a break. Seriously. Destiny 2 right now is at it's all time peak if your new. Been here since day one like me tho? Yea it's boring. They said that these seasons will be smaller then the last becasue they need more time for the comet DLC in september. This is a spoiler if you don't read the lore but that DLC will be a taken King and Queen DLC on the dreadnaught. If you want more info DM me or reply.

24 RespuestasTHE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING!!! Just because you are burned out or losing interest in the game doesn’t mean the rest of us are. This game is not only “NOT dying”, it’s in one of the strongest positions it’s ever been in. Bungie is now clarifying what this game is and creating a specific experience. (IOW they’ve stopped trying to be everything to everyone). So naturally some people don’t like it, and they’re getting angry, frustrated, and attacking the game like a jilted lover.
-
It feels that way
-
It’s already ended for me. I have given up on the season pass and am only visiting the forums periodically to see if there is any news. It’s a massive shame, this franchise had so much potential
-
6 RespuestasI hope not :( I started playing only last month and I’m enjoying the hell out of it.
-
1 RespuestaIt’s different for sure but I’ve seen some pretty valid posts concerning the amount a season costs with the amount of time played. It’s pretty reasonable. It does feel like it’s missing something though.
-
At least it’s not anthem.

2 RespuestasSo long destiny after this iron banner i realized this game is garbage been here since D1 not worth another minute to late to fix
-
Worst part is they break things with every update. Now I can't even get bounties to progress normally and they're the main way to level. Go figure ...
