What shotgun are you using with what perks and masterwork?
Range stat is comparable only within the same frame type. Different frames can have the same range stat and same perks but have a different one hit kill range because of the differerence in impact + RPM / damage per pellet. That combination is different between frames types.
Also all non-slug shotguns have the OHK range hard-capped to 9 meters. No non-slug frame can OHK beyond that.

What barrel, rounds and masterwork does it have? On shotguns in general and Dust Rock especially these are what affect the OHK range the most.

You're basically only missing the +10 range from range masterwork. And technically the little range boost from slideshot but that's marginal. You don't have the range godroll, but it's close. You should be OHK:ing to at least 8 meters. Dust Rock is a precision frame. All precision and aggressive frames can OHK to the 9 meter hard-cap with max range rolls. (Aggressive frames have less range stat even on godrolls but they do more damage per pellet thanks to higher impact, so the end-result's the same.) You could test that out with DARCI or a heavy brick with a friend in private match. Measure the distance with DARCI's ADS or have the friend stand next to a heavy brick spawn and use it's distance identicator as measure. Stand 8 meters away from him, aim crosshair at center mass and try OHK:ing him a couple times. I'm pretty positive your roll should work at that distance.

Thanks for the info. Basically if I cant ohk with this thing its me not the gun. I'll give it another shot.. tbh I rarely use shottys.

Basically yes, that roll wont probably reach the 9 meter OHK hard-cap consistently but it should get close. Make sure you're not accidentally shooting slightly off target and missing some pellets. Especially if you're not a shottie main it's easy to partly miss like that when you're up close and trying to shoot fast moving targets.
