PC HDR and 4k stuttering

So to start off I havent played D2 in well over a year but decided to come back, I played on xbox and this is my first time ever playing it on PC. Immediately I have 2 problems, the first of which is that the HDR brightness settings are completely maxed out and it will not let me adjust them in any way despite numerous different attempts to fix it. The game is a bright and blurry mess and looks horrible. The second issue is that the game gets horrendous stutter when I try to play 4k above 60fps. NVIDIA overlay says I'm getting 80-100fps but my screen is stuttering and lagging every 1/2 second and makes the game unplayable. If it will help, my pc specs are: CPU= 3900x factory overclock Mobo= MSI x570 ACE GPU= 2080ti overclocked RAM= 32Gb 3666Mhz Cl14 Storage= 1Tb w/ 5gbs read/write speed Monitor= Asus 4k 144hz HDR (set to 120hz) So my opinion is that my build is certainly not the issue as this is the ONLY game I've ever had either of these issues with. Can anyone please give advice or solutions to either of these problems?

  • I'm encountering the exact same issue. I tried turning off windows HDR, it worked fine until the match started; the screen turned black, and it stayed black even when i closed the game. I got the screen back on by restarting my pc. Until bungie fixes this issue, its unplayable.
