We need some new strikes, strike refresh, vendor refresh, factions to come back, more rare, specific loot to grind, more secret missions, more catalysts. (but hide it better on PC as it'll all just get data mined immediately again...)

        • Bungie also has a problem teaching players how to be raid ready. As much as people wanna talk down on the idea, majority of y’all used YouTuber numbers for builds. A lot of you are not calculating dps. With that said, they need to teach new players proper loadout, why dps is important, and exotic synergy. Have a small raid strike, a strike with mechanics, and reward players for performing well, have them run this 5 times and lock that strike out. Reward their grind with a good idea of a raid loadout. Decent rolled weapon, a good sniper and shotgun, and a good heavy. Explain how sniper and heavy can be dps, or heavy can be a major killer. We need a system for these new players, it’s better than pointing to a YouTube video. So people don’t go into raids completely clueless. I say this because I have never seen this many players join my team and not know what to do with their set up, they have not a clue. I’m always asked “is this set up good?” And it isn’t, after telling them what the area will require, majors and boss dps, they pull out an exotic useless for both, and the rest just seems out of place. I don’t mind explain, I’ve sherpa’d many players in raids, but I can’t say it’s like that with everyone, and it would be nice for once to just have a new raid player have a grasp on loadouts.

          • Yeah I’ve been playing destiny as my main game, 7 days a week since D1 day 1. I can honestly say that for me, this is the least engaging the game has been in that entire period. Sure I played less than normal in the major content drought after house of wolves, but when I did log on, I could always find something I wanted to do. But man, this is just season of the bounties and checklists. I honestly do like the look of the new saint weapons, I hate the seasonal armour, but that’s a personal thing. Hand on heart, I can’t even pinpoint why I’m finding it so boring. Technically speaking, there’s plenty to do. Plenty of quests get added to my inventory. On paper there’s plenty new weapons to chase that aren’t reskins. There’s new weekly things to do that give more dialogue and lore and I suppose new areas. But my desire to play is just gone. It’s the purposefully drawn out incessant monotony of the grind I think that’s gotten to me. When I did the saint mission that had me doing public events, patrols and kills on Nessus, completed it, was told to go talk to devrim, he gave me the exact same checklist but to do it in EDZ instead of Nessus that I just realised “ -blam!- man there’s better ways to waste my time than this”. The other bounties, 8 arbitrary bounties completed, kills on major enemies of 3 different races, all these quests had me spending more time in loading screens then playing the actual game. -blam!- it man, if this is the way the game is going how, I’m out. I don’t begrudge anybody for enjoying it, not gonna make posts telling bungie to sort their shit out. People enjoy this? I’m really happy for them. Bungie have decided this is the game they want to develop? At least they finally, after 6 years, have a fixed direction to move in. It’s not for me though.

Keep saying it. They should make it more accessible for less good players too. If you are not really good at the moment you will not masterwork your gear. If you are not good enough you will never play 980 nightfalls and finish them. Your best bet would probably be get a checkpoint on Pit of Heresy boss. For some this might still be too challenging. Then a lot of great weapons are behind skill walls. Again if you are not good enough you will never get them how hard you even try. In my opinion Bungie should create 2 different options to get good gear. A fast way by skill or a slower more grindy way if you are not good enough. For example win 50 games of survival or play 200 matches. Or what we had with tokens in a raid or before with Trials. If you finish an encounter you get tokens or if you win a game or finish bounties in trials you received token so you could still get raid and trials gear. Now you need to be skilled and have some good players to play with you in a fireteam. Not everybody know great players. So players feel like they are blocked getting the good stuff to improved their character. I understand completely why a lot of players leave. I also understand why a lot of sweaty streamers want more challenging PvE content. Why not both without creating a skill gap? Only reward cosmetics for this more challenging content. So players can show off how good they are without creating a skill gap.

              • Like what most people say D2 is honestly a chore There's no interesting or fun weapons to chass (imo) because almost every weapon depends on the same roll Outlaw killclip , Outlaw rampage. I literally don't remember anyone talking about those perks back in D1 honestly (Crowd control was rampage without the 3 times stacking and reactive reload was basically kill clip)

Reskinned content since release, the only DLC that had an impact on the game at a larger scale was Forsaken. The most unrewarding loot game on the market, and the extreme nerfs to the relevant loot, was like shooting the own foot. The worst PvP on the market, almost 2020 and we are still playing P2P lol, plus the map design is the worst ever made by Bungie. Co-Op is irrelevant, most players are isolated because 99% of the game lacking real Co-Op engagements. Game quality dropped massively after Forsaken. The game is in the most unpolished state with the release of Shadowkeep. The only content you get with seasonal DLCs is reskinned Horde Mode and some cosmetics. When the last time you played Destiny 2 was in Forsaken, dont bother you would miss zero.

                • Like many other people said - There is no real content to do outside of, honestly, pointless grinding. Sure you can spend 8 hours a day doing sundial runs but for what? A "godroll" grenade launcher that can do well in PvP and nothing else? There is a single raid so far for a however many months period until the next expansion. The raid, dungeon, NM hunts are just for pinnacle rewards to really do nothing at all, hitting the 970 cap doesn't make you any stronger than a 960. There is no exciting content PvE wise to keep those players going. If you like playing PvP then you have that. If Bungie were to put in gear ornaments, exotic sparrows, exotic ships, ghost shells etc, outside of Eververse I'm sure more people would play. If grinding for better gear actually made a noticeable difference then it would mean something. All in all Destiny 2, at this point in time, is just a grindfest for no reward other than "hey, I got this one or two weapons that make no difference"

                      • Not going to lie I am a die hard destiny 2 fan. I have not stopped playing ever. Mind you I've been playing non stop since Destiny 1 beta on XB1. Seriously this is the only game I play and I'm struggling to sign on at do anything at this point. Grinding has becomes pointless because all activities doesn't require you to be anything high. I don't even get excited anymore when I get a prime engram it's not like it's going to help me it's just another 960 crap I'll shard. Think this new system should be removed.. only 3 things outside of the raid that gives you pinicals. It's not level up how YOU want anymore it's level up how THEY want and honestly it's sucking the life out of this game for me and many others.. kinda sad really loved this game too.

                          • Bungie should just get some dedicated servers and bring back Trials: put all Crucible/Gambit/PvP-related modes on dedis. Ubisoft (belatedly) putting For Honor on dedicated servers brought the game back from the brink of extinction, which is no small feat considering how -blam!- gamers can be, at least once they're made to feel like the game devs/publishers have screwed them over not only as gamers but as customers. To this day, it boggles my mind how game devs and publishers can't understand that fandom in gaming is like fandom in any other medium or genre: fans are loyal to a fault, even to clearly capitalist commercial enterprises, if the product is good, if it's fun, if it's interesting, if it's fair and balanced (not like Fox News :P). Fans are willing to overlook small issues (although we may still gripe about them) provided the daily experience is still fun and those 'small issues' aren't annoyances *cough* laggy UI/UX *cough*. But try to gouge the fans, try to exploit the customer base for short term profit and greed, or lie to customers and fans, especially to cover up obvious mess ups on the part of the devs/publishers, or otherwise act in a deceitful and self-serving manner, and those fans will eventually move on and leave, just like some people on the forums defending the status quo want us to. And no one is going to keep the servers running solely on what few players are left once the vast majority get fed up by every big and small issue that never gets addressed, is studiously avoided even discussing *cough* lack of dedicated servers *cough*, rampant cheating where the people caught are a tiny droplet in an ocean of cheaters and then given slaps on the wrist, etc. Or indeed, broken quests and bounties, egregious and obvious Pavlovian/Skinner box gambling addiction promoting mechanics that directly and negatively impact gameplay and run contrary to good game design, basic game balance issues being neglected for months on end while continuing to take customers' money, sudden changes to core components of the game without much in the way of explanation or forethought, overly restrictive in-game economies that are nonsensical and designed to extend grind in lieu of actual content, etc. Bungie have been coasting on the remnants of all the combined and accumulated good will and nostalgia of former diehard Bungie fans who got hooked on Halo, not realizing that the core company that created the Halo franchise no longer exists, and what is left is a shell corporation designed solely to make money for shareholders and C-level execs, to nickel-and-dime their own customers and fan base for every little thing, without giving value for money. It would honestly be disappointing if not for the fact that this has been going on for so long, pretty much since D1, that I think most of us are so inured to it by now that even some of the most diehard fans of the Destiny franchise, or Bungie supporters, or former Halo aficionados, have pretty much thrown in the towel at this point, because Bungie clearly don't care to take seriously the concerns of their customers, their fans, their playerbase, and would rather just count the money that the few whales left have supposedly been throwing at the screen. https://www.fandom.com/articles/for-honor-dedicated-servers

                                • I haven't played one second this season and won't; last season was hilariously bad and my friends tell me this season is worse and we usually have the same - or similar - opinions, so I'll just sit back and enjoy the show. If the season with the expansion, the 'story', the raid, etc was so bad, the rest of the season pass is going to be worse because it has much less content. All the fanboys keep saying, "it's only $10"... They're not saying that because it's a miraculous value; they're saying it because they know it's bad and they're trying to justify it for some reason.

Similar boat... I played pretty consistently when Shadowkeep launched. Despite Shadowkeep itself not really being all that content-rich, I did like enough of what was offered...but this... There was so much hype about the moon and the hive and now it's like Bungie said "Okay we're moving on from that!" when I feel like that is plenty more to expand upon there... I'm sure all this stuff will be connected more in some way but I don't care for how they're going about doing that.
