Not a fan of this. You know how long and frustrating it was grinding EP armour every week for one piece?
Hoping the piece that dropped was Arc, had high stats AND wasn’t a piece I had before.
I done EP every week since shadowkeep and only needed the chest, rest wee all duplicates.
Now dawn arrives and your telling me that set is now useless? I masterworked it why? What’s the point in literally doing anything in this game now armour wise if it’s gonna be going next season? Mods disappearing every season, never really being able to hold onto Builds?
How can masterworking be so expensive at the same time as there being Hardly anyway to get the materials? Wouldn’t it make sense to...I don’t know...make all armour ornaments? One set of each affinity and we grind ornaments? Where are the ornaments missing from the armour 2.0 trailer?
What is this game now anyway? Can’t be a collection game because there isn’t a enough vault space and we can’t pull any random rolls out of collections which is most gear now.
Can’t be loot game because they just isn’t enough loot for that and the loot that is there is reskins?
Definitely not a PvP game, that “renewed focus” is no where to be seen, no new maps and nerfs left right and centre.
So what is destiny now? A rinse repeat season simulator? I’m just confused by the direction of the game, I want to be able to use anything I’ve been rewarded with In the game, I want to be able to hold on to builds and bring them out/change them up whenever, but the game is changing none stop.
Cant use new mods on old armour, artefacts gone every season so can’t save builds, bungie chooses what weapons we are to use by only allowing those mods in the artefact.
I think you guys need to step back, and look at your game as a whole, really look though. Look at what made D1 so great and aspects of D2 you were praised for, look at what people enjoyed, and stick to it. D1 was a beta? Then what is D2 because launch was nothing like D1 and now we’re into a whole new way of delivering content. Is this another beta?
More consumables every season yet no update to the space we have to hold them.
You introduce armour 2.0 but but then activities like EP that reward good looking stuff is locked to one piece a week. You don’t have someone looking and double checking stuff like this? And oh btw, EP chest isn’t rewarding loot after the update. Glad someone doubled checked this to...
Catalyst like sleeper still locked behind a raid no one does anymore, no at Bungie picked up on this?
Vendors haven’t seen a reset in years ahahaha actual years lmfao “evolving world” only thing evolving about any planetary vendor in the past 2 years is the ever evolving boredom I have when getting a package....
Not to worry, eververse is bursting with goodies though, every season, every week....
Exotics.....that we earned....over years of gameplay....And grinding....that seem to be rarer than any decent patch notes .....CANT even be taken from collection with proper affinities or stats. How many times do I need to get the same exotic?
Instead of being an evolving and progressive world, it’s now a loop, rinse and repeat seasons with hardly anything carrying over to the next to show for our time. When is there ever gonna be a “you had to be there moment” if I have nothing from the last season to show for it.
As it stands now, I don’t think I would say to anyone who didn’t play Season of the undying “you had to be there man” because there wasn’t anything. It’s all gone now. Personally I much preferred the DLC form of content.
So what’s going on? All time, recourses, care and funding going towards your new game with Netease? Is that why making destiny content is “hard” or is it just you guys have lost passion for this game?
Who’s enjoying this? If you are great. If you aren’t, what’s your views?

FOMO. Fear of missing out. So basically, all the artists hard work goes into the last season's trash, because Bungie is without a sugar daddy to suck off and leech millions from.
-
I’m probably gonna catch shit for this. This post opened my eyes a little. Made me look at some stuff differently.
-
They're trying to make Destiny a WoW clone. No thanks.

6 RespuestasArmor 2.0 sucks. It's literally worse than what we had before.
-
7 RespuestasWell, this game has always had periodic resets after which you had to "go get your stuff all over again". Now they're just doing that every 3 months with new season. Yeah, pretty much means any long term investment into equipment is pointless.
-
4 RespuestasJust deleted all my old gear. Turned in my weapon parts to Gunsmith, Got 8 Legendaries , deleted them as well. Just hanging in the Tower, kicking a purple ball.

2 RespuestasEditado por LordD2: 12/12/2019 5:55:42 PMThere are aspects of this post I just don't understand. Why is your last season's EP armor worthless? I haven't grinded a set of EP armor in awhile, but did something radically changed between this season and last? Not to say there aren't some wrinkles that need to get ironed out of this new system. The main one seems to be the elemental roll of the pieces. If we're going to have mods that are both element and armor piece specific then there needs to be a reliable, predictable way of getting said armor piece. Right now say you need arc gloves for a mod you wanna slot. Now you're battling two factors of RNG in whatever activity drops that piece 1) will it be arms, 2)will it also be arc. The odds of that occurring reliably and predictably are just too low in my opinion. Solutions: RNG protection of some kind wherein if you're in activity that drops a given set of armor you'll only get the piece you don't have. You'll have to delete the unwanted piece to have that happen, but at least you're narrowing it down to a 1 in 3 chance of getting the element you need. or, for a resource fee of some type, maybe an ascendent shard, the ability re-roll the piece to the desired element.

1 RespuestaEditado por acdaking: 12/12/2019 4:12:38 PMThe only way this game will actually change is if you guys collectively stop playing. That's the only way. Stop logging in and showing playtime. Just STOP.

2 RespuestasLike how bungie is doing bungie things right now and ignoring all threads like this. Bunch of dicks.

3 RespuestasI love how in 2019 people still don’t realize that new seasons and content drops in rpgs make all old gear obsolete

Editado por A_mo: 12/12/2019 5:25:36 PMI was just happy that they added a decent scout rifle and the connections in clash have been smooth. After reading this I realize that I have lower standards than a lot of people or something. They really need to do a planetary vendor refresh. Its been one of the biggest complaints and their logic that they need everything in eververse in order to make money doesn't really hold up. Happy people will buy stuff from eververse and if people aren't happy that everything is in there they would probably tend to buy less. We all understand its to support the game but the other vendors should have something too if they don't want people turning the game off. Overall I'm happy with the season but the things that you mention that they don't pay attention to are perfectly logical complaints. I do sometimes get the feeling that they don't listen enough to the people that have been playing through the meandering directions the game has been taking since it came out. This should never be a game that's designed around getting New Light players to do mtx. If they really need that much money I'm fine with it but sometimes it does feel like no one was really looking at the financials as they charge towards being a full blown publisher. The vendor refresh thing could do a lot to let people know they are listening because its seriously one of the biggest complaints and its obvious that they don't have very business minded or trained people making these decisions (which I actually respect). But it shouldn't be too hard to figure out that if you give the people what they want and more people have more reasons to turn the game on then even more people will probably spend in the cash shop too.

Elements yes that is... interesting. I definitely can say I don't hate it though, as it makes me think about my stats. I'm an mmo gamer though, so I tend to really dig into stats.

2 Respuestas100% will never understand these armor posts. Getting good armor isn’t hard. You get it. You keep it. You masterwork it and you can put literally any mod on it you want. Any REAL mod that actually means something. Stop being such a noob. I will say that all armor pieces in your vault should be an ornament so you can customize you look more. But crying over armor. Get over it. The new armor system is literally the best it’s been in all of destiny 2.

1 RespuestaI'm along for the ride until destiny 3 , then I'm out. Already this far into destiny 2, bungie you gotta throw us a bone here. Quit doing things like this to us players

Bungie will do the most profitable thing they can. Unfortunately

3 RespuestasEditado por CookieNiki: 12/11/2019 11:37:12 PMI always find really funny how people that have been playing this game for 3, 4 or 5 years, still get so surprised and frustrated by Bungie... being Bungie. It's priceless, it's a joke that never gets old.

1 RespuestaEditado por mercuryserver: 12/12/2019 2:33:55 PMExcellent post, OP. I was always annoyed of not having the optimal loadout for different situations. But I could not be arsed to get my armor twice or thrice and insert the corresponding build mods and masterwork them all thanks to their strange masterworking requirements. "Upgrading your armor should be something meaningful and therefore it's expensive". Sure, buddy. When they introduced armor 2.0, I thought that this is the best thing to happen since I started playing D2. I assumed that they will finally introduce "builds" you can save so you can for example instantly switch from something that's good against Hive to something that's good against Cabal. And by introducing the very first armor 2.0 you could get before SK was released, they put that thought that you can finally get something that has more value and can last longer into my brain even deeper and it got me really excited. Then there was the release and not too long after that, the excitment was ruined. Completely. Instead of getting new seasonal armor once for an ornament, they want us to chase for the seasonal god roll or what? And in three months I need to chase again? If something like the armor and masterworking situation is worse than before after all the complaints, I really wonder if the players and Bungie live on the same planet. Anyways, I have struggled whether to continue or not for two months now but the 1st season of SK has proven one thing: D2 isn't fun anymore. I am going to delete it now entirely from my PS4 and it's also time to stop checking for news and reading the forums. They will never get it and never change. Time to move on. Have fun playing a Game where 80% of the "content" needs to be bought in Eververse and the rest is a treadmill grind, New Light players.

Well said, this game has no direction for its developers and audience. Quests are lazy writing and implementation, the story and lore are all there for them to succeed but choose not to. I find myself searching for reasons to play after I hit legend in comp and there really isent a hook. I dont invest mats in armor due to bungies track record of leaving stuff behind, I hardly MW weapons bc bungie destroys weapons and classes in the blink of an eye the moment they become too strong or make content easier. This used to be my main game and then ESO would be on the side, but it seems now ESO is my main game while D2 is on the side. Honestly I think its leadership at Bungie, I dont think they are good leaders at determining where to go with the game based on its audience.

I seem to recall there were three long typo ridden walls of garbage from the failed throw money at the screen journo. The tl/dr of those was 1. Bungo has no clue what they want Destiny to be. 2. Expect less content going forward. 3. Expect more grind going forward. 4. Expect more MTs for the dress shop going forward. We've all been told (and we have been able to see for ourseleves by Bungo's actions) what this pathetic excuse for a game is. Just saying.
-
The new armour looks are amazing. I don’t understand why ALL skins aren’t there but no big deal. The armour mod system and elements is just weird. Straight up weird and very restrictive.
-
Bungie have zero clue in what direction the game is going in, decisions time and time again have showed this. The try to please everyone and end up pleasing no one. The PvP crowd will never be happy because the can't accept they are playing a looter shooter but that's another discussion.

7 RespuestasCan someone explain to me why our old armor is useless now?
-
Guess ill go invest some time in CoD:MW where i can farm CP with my season pass to have a free season pass next season..... This is intelligent farming.
-
-Sigh- Look if Bungie wants armor to be something we go after every season fine, but then that would mean ALL ARMOR SHOULD HAVE TRANSMOG! That is the main reason MMOs can get away with that each update/expansion, plus you feel a tangable upgrade when you get that new armor. I don't feel a tangible upgrade when I get a new armor so it feels more like an unfun requirement rather than something i want to pursue.

Someone I saw in here yesterday had what I considered the best solution to this problem that I’ve seen. Such a good idea I needed to make it its own thread https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/254647088/0/0
