After the seasonal filler content, we're going to have a big expansion. Shadowkeep was only medium sized because that was only what Bungie could do after the strain from the Annual Pass content. Now that we have small seasonal activities to keep us busy in the meantime, this means that Bungie has more time to work on the next big expansion. A Forsaken sized expansion which has Trials instead of Gambit. Thoughts?
