Hi there. You don't need this quest to get the Beavon in the Black ship from the Master Nightfall.

So I just do the 980 nightfall and it drops?

That is correct. After you complete the 980 you will earn a Triumph. When that is redeemed you will get the ship.

What is the triumph called because I can't find it.

If I'm not mistaken, it's Vanguard > Strikes > Nightfall: The Ordeal > Master
