Peak time for destiny, Sunday afternoon, always the highest player count.
Real time numbers of currently active players online right now
PC 120'000
PS4 72'000
Xbox 48'000
In crucible right now,
PC comp + QuickPlay around 8000 in each
PS4 around 7000 in each
Xbox around 4000 in each
I say around bcoz they've just started putting crucible into 1 section, it used to be QuickPlay and comp separate and was always the same %, so I split it in half.
It's higher now than at any time during the week Inc Saturday, currently crucible shows as 14% pc, 18% PS4, 17% Xbox. It's usually nearer 10%, and the pc number used as the base is usually lower by a little, hitting lows of 50k when America is asleep.
Non regional mm won't work
Sources:
destinytracker and steam, both show real time pc numbers.
Warmind shows real time % of players (not numbers) and breaks them into platforms and modes[

Destiny tracker said 1.1 million PvP yesterday? Your numbers don’t seem to match up😙
-
1.1 million is 24 hours, those numbers where concurrent, so online at that time. Also tracker includes D1 crucible, and gambit as PvP.
-
Those figures the OP quoted were a right now snapshot. The daily figure you quoted would be the number of individual accounts that played in that 24 hour period. Both correct.
-
PC has more players than Xbox? Or PS4? Thats a new one
-
Been like this since SK. It was a lot more a few weeks ago too. SK release day was 1.3m pc 700k PS4 550k xbox
-
So no wonder that guy who was spamming the 17% chart is appearing less and less.
-
It was around that before SK, clearly free to play went well. I think of saw 400% growth, PSN 50% Xbox 40% roughly.

Editado por YATM: 11/17/2019 6:16:34 PMWe’re in a content drought. This happens every time towards the end of a dlc or a season. Stop making more of it than it is.
-
There has been a content drought for years.

Hyperbolic statement if I ever heard one. Lots of things to fix, but no game in this genre (mmo looter shooter) is as good as Destiny. So pull your head out and either leave or provide constructive criticism.
-
Asking me to pull my head out while it seems yours is so far up Bungie's? Providing constructive criticism is pointless as it goes unheard. I know people have been debating whether this is an MMO or not. In my opinion it's more MO looter shooter, there is nothing massive about this game. Everything about the game recently has been shallow, there is no depth to anything and it feels they're doing whatever they can to artificially extend play through certain grinds, this includes loot, story & events however there seems to be a lot of time spent on trying to get micro-transactions through Eververse. I understand they're a business and need to make money but unless there's a balance then people will stop playing. If no other looter shooter is as good as Destiny then where do the other players go? There would be no drop off in the amount of players. But hey, if you like tasks like complete 30 gambit matches, complete 30 strikes and complete 30 crucible matches every season then that's fine.

Editado por YATM: 11/18/2019 6:26:11 PMAs the philosopher Vince Neil once said, "Girl, don't go away mad. Girl, just go away."
-
While you aren't wrong, i think you are downplaying a bit.
-
There’s definitely major issues with retention that are squarely Bungie’s bungles but I have been hearing this disappearing player base argument since House of Wolves.
-
Content drought lol, these numbers weren't much higher during release week of SK. And before SK these numbers where 1/4 what they are now. Infront give a monkeys how manys playing, I'm explaining why regional mm wouldn't work, there simply isn't enough players.

Editado por YATM: 11/17/2019 7:08:03 PMWe are in the final stretch of shadow keep. Low numbers happen at the end of every DLC for a season. No chicken Little, the sky is not falling. Do you ever ask yourself why you gravitate towards the negative? Are you eager for the game to fail? Because the way you distort these numbers is ridiculous. Shadow keep Broke records on steam during its first week so quit bullshitting me.
-
Numbers are concurrently very low, argue all you want, the numbers are there, taken from bungies api. You say the end of a dlc? But it's still way higher than all last year other than forsaken launch. The fact that there was only 1300 people playing crucible on Friday evening (650 comp 650 QuickPlay) explains intercontinental matchmaking. 650 players in QuickPlay spread over 6 playlists, that's lower than cod on wiiu and that was axed.

The sky is not falling chicken Little

When shadowkeep dropped, I had 4 pages of friends online playing. Today there were a total of 7 players playing. Let that sync in.
-
Sink* in And even so, overall players are still at 60% of what they where at release. Even doubling the numbers I posted, it's still dire.
-
I don’t bother with autocorrect anymore lol
-
You actually could have gotten away with 'sync' in.
-
Fair enough.
sorry, can't help it sometimes
