You I will go out in a limb here.....but I also realize as your name might imply you might be as blind as magoo was. Let’s start with a simple and elegant equation. 1+1=2. And the more ones you add the bigger the equals number gets. So far Bungie have been just taking away. For instance a nerf to the one eyed mask doesn’t add to the game it just takes away. It appeals to people who are already. Nobody I assure you will go buy shadow keep because one eyed masked got nerfed. And as that equal to number shrinks so does the money that Bungie needs to create NEW and exciting content. Because you and a handful of others are loving this moon reskin it was again enough to take away from more of the community. I was one of them. First content drop I didn’t buy. So again this took away not added. So what did Bungie do? The literally gave it away for free. And yes that added some numbers to the game. But a lot of those new players found the content shockingly lacking. And left as quick as they showed up. This mindless grind for the sake of grinding is/was just not fun for the majority. And if you think you and the handful of others is enough to keep the game running long term with fresh new content you are very wrong. It takes roughly and on the low end about 200,000,000 dollars to create a fresh and exciting NEW triple A game. And that’s using industry standards from Other triple A company’s. The numbers are out there I encourage you to look and bring a calculator. And let’s say on the high end there is about 400,000 (loyal) PAYING players left. You would all have to spend about 500 US dollars a piece to fully support new content. Have you spent that yet? No? Me either don’t feel bad. So as I said the numbers don’t work. So this game long term will just keep spiraling downward. As all these “loyal” players get sick of this mindless grind. It will come it’s inevitable. And let’s talk about loyalty shall we. If I was a venture capitalist and had the money I would personally sink that money in. BUT it would come at a price. And that price would be using that money to make fresh NEW exciting content. Content that would be praised by the masses. Content made for and by the masses. There would be such a revolving door of input to source. And a couple of years of VERY hard work. Working 12 to 16 hours a day 6-7 days a week. Because that’s what it takes. To make something lasting and exceptional it takes time and HARD work. Nothing I great I ever did in my life fell into my lap I worked and worked and worked and worked. And even after things went perfect and I was praised I didn’t stop I worked twice as hard to stay there. Bungie didn’t. Bungie got complacent and lazy. But and this is a fair point no of course individuals can’t do it forever. The pressure is intense I assure you. That’s when you pass the baton to the next person the person who has that fresh new spark in their eye. And I assure you it’s not someone who thinks it cute to show up to work in pj’s. Not in front of the paying clients anyways. A pj day behind closed doors where the clients don’t see it. YES of course because it is fun and helps breaks the tedium of it all. That’s the HUGE difference. The one younger folks don’t get. See the community on the whole is everything. And yes I understand you cant please everyone. But you can please the larger portion. Not pick a fraction the smallest fraction and then think that will work finically. Not when that studio was built to serve millions and millions of players. So am I loyal? Sitting here typing all this out. You are damn right I am. Because I have never played a game that generated so much excitement and enthusiasm as destiny did when it was geared to appeal the masses. I used to post love for this game. Many many many many raid lfg posts. And no compared to what was even now giving it away for free it doesn’t have a great strong community. Indie games have more of following. Say what ever else you like that’s a fact like it or no. I am some debating it. Have a great rest of your weekend
