The One-eyed mask is still too powerful

One of three things need to happen because of how overpowered it is. 1. It the ability to track opponents needs to be gotten rid of, and the only thing it does is give you an over shield when you kill the last person who touched you. 2. It should only track and not give you any over shield at all (my preference) why should fat titans be the only class that has an exotic that gives you an instant over shield? I have lost so many fights because of this, and its just plain unfair to the other classes having to rely of skill rather than an unfair overshield advantage. 3. Give the other classes exotics that do a similar overshielding capability. Like maybe foretracer could give an overshield too when it kills its tracked target. Or sanguine alchemy do that same on its tracked opponents. Bottom line is, Titans are way too overpowered and people shouldn't have to be forced to play one in order to be good. I don't want to be a Titan all the time. The one-eyed mask is like 2 exotics in one. Frankly, it should not even exist. The weird thing about One-Eyed Mask is always that it’s felt like two exotics mashed together. On its own, at least in PvP, either of these skills would still be pretty strong. I can envision a version of One-Eyed Mask where it simply picks one of these perks or the other and lives on that way. An exotic that lets you track enemies that damage you around corners and behind walls is still really valuable. Similarly, an exotic that encourages aggressive play with an overshield and damage buff on kill is also good. Together, they’re too strong, and that’s the core problem.   • Keep the tracking and health regen, lose the over shield. The over shield is what bothers me. Together with health regen makes it annoying. I main a Titan and think this. I have been playing Warlock the last few weeks and notice the power of the over shield.

    • agreed. Everytime I play comp and I see a One eyed mask on the other team... I get anxiety. I and my usual fireteam all understand the OPness of one eyed mask. Literally the only people that defend it are the players who use it 24/7. We never win matches against a team with that titan OP helmet.

      • We need to stop asking for nerfs. Instead, think of something with your class that is under performing and ask for it to be buffed. Example: Can we remove the Slide requirement for Inertia Overdrive? This will help buff the subclass since it’s super is not hard hitting. Please stop tearing each other down.

        • I think that the best readjustment I’ve read for it would be to take radar away from the titans when vengeance is active, they only have one eye and it’s fixed on the player that shot them. Would make sense in a lore perspective, wouldn’t nerf its effectiveness in pve and would tone it down in pvp!

            What about hunters using stompies or warlocks using the blink exotic? Nerf those, and a ton of shotgun builds go with it. If one eyed mask gets nerfed, hunters and warlocks with shotguns go pretty much unopposed. Titans immediately becomes the worst class in pvp (literally no good titan exotics). Forums come filled with complaints based on this and the large amount of shotgun warlocks and hunters. Both of these exotics are the most used in all of pvp (for their respective classes. Even more significantly used then ones that generate super energy). And bungie pretty much stated they wanted to open up more options in game concerning exotics. It’s only a matter of time people. Your going to try desperately to reverse the announced on the forums. But, from bungies track record, you know fully well it’s going to not work. I guess what I’m saying, is enjoy what you have while you can. This statement here is a testament, that NO exotic is safe. I’m curious as to what the meta would become if these exotics went down like so many others?

Give titans an exotic to keep radar whike ads and one that buffs, slide, jump and sprint.

                • [well as a titan main I can start by assuring you you don’t need to be one of us to be good at crucible, there are two hunter subclasses and at least one warlock subclass that can make you able to shove any titans head out his ass. And I have a solution for OEM than imo (and I never used it) will make it balanced. This solution is to make the tracker of the enemy who touched you last limited to 30 seconds at most, reduce the durability of the overshield by 50%, and reduce the damage buff to a third of what it currently is. Does that sound ideal to you because it sure sounds ideal to me.]

                  • I would be more impressed if they would introduce combative exotics for warlocks and hunters. In other words leave OEM alone, but make exotics for the other classes that react when your marked. I’m a hunter main, so I’ll use that as an example. I, as a hunter, have just put in a shot on a OEM titan and had to back down from the gun fight. I’m weaker than he is, so he pushes... Now, give me an exotic that evens the playing field in this situation. Since, hunters are the evasive class give an invis perk, or a fourth BoA jump, or something that lets me know I’m marked, being pushed, and helps me survive. Introduce one for warlocks as well. I don’t lock much, so I’ll leave those who do to offer suggestions. What I am getting at is the Aeon series of armor, or rat king effect, but instead of allies these proc from your enemies actions.

                  • The tracking and over shield is the entire point of the exotic. They can reduce the tracking to 6 seconds instead of 8 and then just get rid of the health regen. The overshield plays a big part in what makes one eyed mask strong, but getting full health AND an overshield is why it's so bad. I'd be fine if it still gave health regen but lost the overshield...although that would likely be much worse balance wise than just dumping the health regen. The damage boost is mostly negligible and only truly helps weapons that put out lower damage numbers like autos and smgs. It still helps other weapons, but 2-3 damage on a handcannon is almost literally nothing.

                  • I use OEM users to my advantage, pretty much 95% of the time when you’re marked they’ll push you looking for the kill and that’s when they get an Erentil bolt or two to the face XD

                  • If anything, it just needs to be reworked slightly. If anything, you shouldn’t be rewarded an over the top ability just for getting shot

                      • But your Hunter invisibility, wall hack WITHOUT needing an exotic getting basically free kills with NO risk at all is ok somehow? And do not get me started on the Exotic Cowl for the Hunter that lets you go invisible in your super and with the right subclass does exactly what the OEM does. But that's ok? Not to mention OEM you need to take damage FIRST. You know the opposite of what your supposed to do. It's ok though, keep attacking OEM and Titans while Hunter PRETEND they're the weaker class when stats say otherwise. JMO

                            Foetracer: tracks enemies regardless of whether they hit you or not, and they stay tracked for at least a second or two. Not to mention that foetracer also allows you to deal more damage to lower health targets and on top of that the top tree arcstrider class provides health regen. Honestly all you really have to do is simply pull out a special weapon and shoot the MF'er. Finish him off with a grenade or other abilities. You have a titan rushing you?, F'ing let him! Pop him in the face with a shot gun, sniper, or fusion. Pull out the jotunn and give him a taste of his own medicine. If you got a titan rushing you, kill him in the most violent way you can.
