LFG doesn’t get you raid clears either, it’s basically manual matchmaking, it would be optional, use it, don’t use it, no problem with a little bit of choice.

Well you can check raid reports and see if they are experienced and capable
-
It's far more of a hassle than it's worth to set that up considering that you have to understand that people will go into matchmaking with no knowledge of the raid at all or will just take up space.
-
Choice my friend, don’t want to use it then don’t, it’s optional.
-
Its not a matter of choice, its a matter of having to moderate the matchmaking which causes far more problems than its worth.
-
Difference is you can set requirements in LFG. The most important to mention is “must have clears” because that’s literally the difference between an hour or 2 run of GoS and a 6-8hour run of GoS.
-
Look my friend I have discussed this over and over, I know and understand all the pitfalls, but it all boils down to choice, it’s optional, don’t use it. “Must have clears” 😂😂😂 to have clears you first need to complete the raid 🙄
-
And then one you finally match make with a group and they see that you have no clears they will just leave he fire team before you get a chance to do anything
-
Yes so people without clears should make posts that say “learning the raid” or “trying to get the new raid down.” Matchmaking would just further divide the playerbase. You’d have the “hardcore” raiders who all LFG and finish in an hour, and the matchmakers who try (and will likely fail a majority of the time) to coordinate between people going afk mid encounter, players with bad/no mic, and players leaving after a couple wipes. I’m not saying it wouldn’t work, or that matchmade players wouldn’t get clears. I’m saying those players will try it, realize it’s usually too difficult for a matchmade environment, and then complain to Bungie to make simpler raids more akin to menagerie. That’s what we have to look forward to if raids start being matchmade. It’s not an issue of pitfalls, or weighing the good vs bad. Adding matchmaking to raids will require them to be simpler/easier to complete. Menagerie is a perfect example of that.
