People's concern and "outrage" over optional cosmetics, is equal parts sad and hilarious.
If you don't like EV, dont participate.
Crying about some ships, ghost shells, and an ornament set is absurd.
Its 100% optional, and totally cosmetic. Jesus...

What ever happened to earning everything in games instead of having to buy it, right? *eyeroll* I don't care for many cosmetics, but people are justified in being upset or concerned.

Right about the point where AAA games hadn't seen a price increase in 20+ years. Also the notion that $60 entitles you to every scrap of content doesn't apply to a MMO-like game like destiny. Lets look at World of Warcraft. Blizzard charges you. 1. About $40-70US every other year for major expansions. 2. Then they charge $12-15 dollars (the lower price is if you buy months in bulk) in subscription fees every month just to play the content you've already bought...and to fund smaller content drops between major expansions. 3. THEN they have a mtx store where you can spend upwards of $30 for cosmetics like a mount. or pets. So---in an expansion year----you can be looking at spending anywhere from $250-350 FOR THE YEAR.....to play ONE game. ...and then they're still going to charge you cash for cosmetic items from the MTX store. This isn't about greed on Bungie's part. This is about console gamers just not understanding----or just not wanting to accept----what it takes to fund a game like this....and what it costs to participate in a game like this over the long term. You guys want the level of service and content....but then don't want to pay the fair market value for the same. Cause Bungie's isn't even doing that. If you think you're getting screwed out of money. Go play The Division 2 or Anthem....and see what you get in the way of content.

You prefer one-time shot games with no ongoing service? If so, then sure I'm with you. But I like live service games personally, and those have to be funded, either by large expansions, mtx, or a combination. Would people really rather "earn" whisper ornaments (they might not even like), and not have Zero Hour, or let people that like EV help fund future development?
-
Or have those things.....and being paying $150 (or more) for each expansion??
-
Exactly. Especially now that 100% of the money goes to Bungie to support development and pay people that need to make money to live, I have no qualms with spending a little money here or there. Sure, I do wish more cosmetic items were available in the world loot, but I don't find it that big of a problem.

Can’t imagine being this retarded

Absolutely.

I agree but.... My argument would be as many, the items sold shouldn’t just be in tes

It’s less “crying about some ships, ghost shells, and ornament sets” and more doing things like pointing out that while eververse gets updated every season, Shaxx and all the other vendors are still selling things from vanilla D2. Nice try at a strawman though.
-
Lol at updating vendors. No one seems to care about a new IB armor set, but then wants Zavala to give us some new vanguard set. Why? Reasons. Ok sure. The sparrow with Garden leaves on it prevented Shaxx from having a new trash SMG we would all dismantle in 5 seconds. Honestly idk why people cry about weapons and armor, when they dont even use or like 95% of them anyways. It's a development nightmare. "Oh cool a new handcannon" then seconds later....meh. And never care about it again. That is basically what a vendor refresh would be. Tbh I prefer cosmetics and options to this, and the extra money from EV helps fund cool missions and dlc. Luke even mentioned that whisper ornaments paid for Zero Hour which was super fun. People are ridiculous imo, and never happy

You’re ignoring the potential for really good weapons and armor. Imagine if this happened in Destiny 1, the palindrome was overrated right? And I mean the longbow was just an instant dismantle right? For all we know if we had bungie come up with new weapons they could create a new meta, or at least give people some new weapons to toy around with.

Editado por Subzero_My_Hero: 10/18/2019 8:32:07 PMThen just say that. You want new meta weapons, and this has nothing to do with cosmetics and appearance. Ritual weapons "should" attempt to take care of this. It's clear pinnacles were too powerful, I don't think its a great idea to just toss OP weapons at Shaxx or Zavala, requiring nothing really to get them, and just messing up crucible (and to a lesser degree the PvE sandbox)
