Swords are in a pretty good place right now. If we get a good exotic sword they will 100% be top tier.
-
Move all except exotic swords.
-
yooo 4real, i only use swords in pvp cause it's real fun, but Having to fight multiple opponents to secure Heavy for a sword is a pain in the asss Special Swords would be an awesome and most welcome change to this weapon type, maybe less ammo than usual to prevent so much camping
-
for the most part, i agree, though you DO realize that swords would get nerfed a bit, right? i'd be ok with that, for the most part.

8 RespuestasEditado por thatdudeEd54: 9/1/2019 4:44:55 PMAll swords really need is a sword lunge buff and a way to lose less ammo when guarding and taking damage. You give us that and i garantee you will see more swords out there. Titans have it very easy with Strongholds. Very underrated exotic. These things are nasty against a skilled swordsman
-
2 RespuestasThey should, but Bungie never listens to feedback.
-
5 RespuestasNot gonna happen. Even in D1 swords were barely used unless it was the three exotic ones (we don't talk about the one introduced in RoI). They need to lay off on the stomp mechanics before swords can shine. Moving them to special would just make them worse versions of shotguns.
-
1 RespuestaI like my swords heavy. It is so fun running around the map with a sword and killing people as a hunter.
-
Someone needs to make DAGGERS and place them in the SPECIAL slot and should still count toward SWORD quest requirements....but that’s just me.
-
14 RespuestasOr you could I don't know...make them use no ammo since thats how melee weapons actually work.
Black talon and world line zero would be obvious exceptions.
-
Where's my Samurai Mode Bungie!?
-
Can you imagine all the corner crouch camping my god no good sir no
-
they need to increase lunge distance and more variances to swing speed, it's abysmal compared to what it was in destiny 1
-
D1 swords were hard to get and fun to use, and were mighty effective too! Each one had a particular role at which it excelled, e.g., the void twirler when clearing the room of Taken for Blackhammer - wrong, Whisper - wrong again , I mean Black Spindle! 🤖 They were all good as they were! And which Hunter didn’t love going sword-ninja with QuickFang? It’s still a fun thing to do when the occasion is just right! Using a sword with no ammo is still a powerful option for certain quest steps and/or bounties, e.g., melee kills - during Solstice armour grind. I like swords and bows... 😎 Just my 2d worth. YMMV. Cheers! MDGA
-
Drawing them needs to be more fluid too. Maybe instead of having them on our back, we should have them in their own sheath by our hip.
-
Editado por Wolf LXXIX: 9/2/2019 8:16:22 PMThey're melee weapons so their use is limited, due to boss stomp mechanics you can't use them effectively. Why use a sword when i can fire from a safe distance at a faster rate.

11 RespuestasOr....or....
Let's make them better and buff them
-
I would love swords to be in the special slots, it only makes sense. Obviously the ultra strong one like black talon deserves to be in the heavy for obvious reasons but the rest of the swords? It makes no sense to keep them in the heavy slot when there are far better options out there for the heavy guns in destiny. Swords also suck compared to shotguns
-
3 RespuestasI’d rather see linear fusions in special with a aim assist nerf. At least move queenbreaker to special
-
And linear fusions and change up arbalest because it sucks

5 RespuestasEditado por SaferMurderweapon: 9/2/2019 1:38:03 AMIf a shotgun can one-tap another player from outside a sword's lunch distance, then I don't see why not. If people can just run out, Erentil 2 people, die, then repeat, then I don't see why not. If [insert special weapon] can do [insert kill event], then I don't see why not. Sword is not a heavy weapon. It's a special weapon using heavy ammo. It was different in D1 because everything else was too. And most of the time, exotics were the only swords often used then. Plus in PvE, Swords still suffer the same problem that every "Heavy" had prior to Forsaken... just as there wasn't much reason to take anything over a rocket launcher then, there isn't much reason to take Sword over say a Wendigo, Darci, Hammerhead, etc... with the exception of things like Razelighter and Darkdrinker both of which are not in D2. Exceptions could be made for the exotic swords and legendary swords in some instances and builds. But generally speaking, we need more flexibility with Swords like we have with snipers and shotguns.
-
Guve swords alot mpre damage in pve but domt move them to special unless its an exotic and has certain things preventing it from.being too strong in pvp
-
would sure make swords more fun, like they did with shotguns, i wouldn't mind if they nerfed dmg by a lot if i got to use it more
-
And lets move rocket launchers to kinetic while we're at it
