The game’s loading times have gotten dramatically worse over the past months since that one update. Its super frustrating and easily takes away some of the fun.
EDIT: I’ve heard stuff about SSD’s improving loading times. As much as i don’t like how I feel like an SSD is so necessary for older gen consoles, I have started to consider getting one. If anyone could help me out with details on how they work, which ones work well, which ones are cheapest, etc., I would greatly appreciate it (I’m on xbox if that’s a necessary detail)

Have you tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in...

Damn the toxic side of pc players are here

51 RespuestasMan reading through the comments made me remember why I hate seeing PC as a platform for any game. Their elitist attitude. Ofcourse there are also pc players who aren't like that. But most comments from pc players in this thread are bashing console players. Buy a PC, console sucks, peasents. Jeez. Now I want D2 to be discontinued on PC. Shut down all there servers there.

46 Respuestasyou are choosing to play the game the worst way possible on console buy a PC or deal with the consequences 😈

While Bungie are actively optimizing their game over time, just like all devs do, they're also adding more and more content to the game. Load times on PC are really good. Unfortunately it isn't the game's fault, it's the hardware. From what I've heard about PS5, loading times won't be a problem there.
-
I'm on xbox and it never takes more than a minute or so to load up the game and get into orbit. Or get into a strike or QP. Some people are extremely inpatient or have a bad connection.

because it's one of the many small QOL things that has been swept under the rug.

I launched up d1 last week and I think I have time to use the bathroom and by the time I get back my teams already losing

1 RespuestaEditado por BegFourMercy: 8/23/2019 11:05:23 PMMust games suspend the game on console. I can turn off my console and when I turn it back on, its is pause d. So it's Bungies fault.

2 RespuestasI have a Xbox one and I bought a external SSD and loads way faster than it did previously without it. And they can come pretty cheap.

Consoles being old definitely has some to do with it, but I'm sure much of it is also on Bungie's end. Dunno, just blame Eververse like I do.

5 RespuestasEditado por EzE_408: 8/23/2019 9:46:27 PMThese posts are so ignorant. A SSD fixes almost all of the loading issues. What does that tell you? Edit: Just so everyone knows, the OG PS4 was released in between the I-Phone 3GS and the I-Phone 4, wayyyyyyyy back in February 2013. Get out your I-Phone 3GS and see how it performs.....

Pc here I come

Add Earth Cosmosdrome, Plaguelands, Dreadnaught, Prison of Elders, and Venus to D2. So tired of the laziness

Editado por Skeaze: 8/23/2019 11:00:50 PMIt's been an issue with Destiny since day 1. Use the time to stretch, drink liquids, use the restroom, tell your parents you love them, walk the dog, mow the lawn, redecorate your bedroom, construct additional pylons, create a resume, learn a language, etc... Edit: word

Menu loading is the bane of my destiny existence. My xbox is the original 500gb one, too cheap to update just yet. From the sounds of it, not really a hardware problem on my end.
