No one should start with special ammo. It should be a ammo box spawn once every 30 seconds or so. And heavy ammo box should only spawn once per match.

Gee... I almost feel like bungie did that at some point quite a while back and it worked pretty well. Even promoted teamplay
-
SIDEARMS were the only viable special weapon during that period -blam!-ing SIDEARMS
-
No. They weren't.
-
Oh right, I forgot No Land Beyond, Universal Remote and Ice Breaker because those were the only Secondary weapons that spawned you in with ammo for them.
-
let’s not forget people crutching off of sticky grenades.

This is what confuses me on the current state of crucible. These growing pains were dealt with towards the end of D1. It's crazy that we're back at this state. I did notice the other issue is we all drop special ammo on death. It's been a really long time, but I don't remember dropping special ammo in D1 after getting fragged.
-
You noticed that too (re: everyone dropping special ammo on death). Firerwolf mentioned the same thing further up in the thread, and I noticed it happening as well recently. It explains why there's so much special ammo lying around everywhere in QP now: I was able to win a match running Telesto and a sniper/shotgun today because of that. Yea, I don't know when that started. I didn't notice it until I was working on my solstice armor. My friend and I ran into a 5 man fireteam and one kept using Jotunn on me. I was trying to figure out how he kept using it so much and when I died he killed a teammate next to me after and that was when I saw green ammo drop from my teammates death. I'm thinking Bungie may have thought they fixed the problem by eliminating guns like Icebreaker and Invective. They forgot the problem was special ammo and too much heavy turns crucible into a bunch of one shot kills.

Players only drop special ammo on their death if they have a gun equipped that uses special ammo and if they have ammo remaining. And the amount dropped is one less than what they had on them. Know this from playing with clan mates. One would die and the other would pick up the brick and say I got X amount of rounds. The guy who died would say, ah okay I had X+1 rounds so the pattern was figured out. And clan mates who didn’t have guns that required special ammo never dropped bricks. So pretty much just would as a team go in with double primaries and we’d never drop bricks for the other team if we’d die. Or just have one squaddie be the only one with an energy gun and they’d pick up the bricks from any enemy and be supporting us with a fusion or sniper.
-
They should start with special ammo, but once they've used it they cant get any more until the special ammo spawned appears, then they can restock. Make it like D1. It'll balance the gameplay out a bit more.
-
Editado por GrifterDeMier01: 8/5/2019 6:39:39 PMNah, it would be so much better and more balanced if no one started with special ammo. Or if it must stay like this start us with 1 round. Make it count. And no special ammo brick drops from kills.
-
But if this was the case, then it would just become what it was vanilla D2. Everyone using primaries all the time, then heavy spawned and theyd use their shotguns. This was what ruined PvP at the beginning. We cant go back to that
-
I never played vanilla D2 but anything would be better than what it is now. id take team shooting scouts and auto primaries over energy weapon 1 shot spams. And then heavy weapon/super trains half way through a match. This is waaaaay worse.
-
Vanilla D2 was MIDA teamshots and Uriels gift auto rifle with ridiculous high calibre rounds. It was horrible.
-
Editado por GrifterDeMier01: 8/5/2019 7:57:19 PMThat's sounds way better than Luna's 2 tapping and team shooting and shotgun sliding. I wish I had played during that time and had quit playing when forsaken came out instead of just starting when forsaken came out. Plus weren't there a few maps that got removed for some reason that were pretty good?
-
Lunas can't two tap. Whinebabies like you saw to that.
-
Uuuhhh ohhh snowflake is mad his op crutch gun got nerfed. Lol. Gun is still op. It needs another nerf.
-
It was my fave pve handcannon and you whingers rendered it worthless
-
You're -blam!-ing stupid. I only used nf in pve before it got nerfed.
-
It was the total opposite. Literally EVERYONE was using mida. There was no other way to counter it unless you used something like better devils. Lunas howl is powerful, but you can easily beat it at range. It's not a problem. It was before the nerf though
