I agree they tried to make crucible balanced, no argument there. Buy PvE was dumbed down so everyone could get participation trophies.

I remember reading an article back then, where the dev clearly stated they want eSports action, but it'll be "up to the community" to see how far the eSports approach goes. We literally gave them feedback on the idea and they reverted back to 6 v 6 and took Trials out. I'm not sitting here saying they didn't dumb anything down. I'm saying the blame doesn't fall to casuals. Y1 D2, was not "built for casuals". If you noticed, the casuals got 6 v 6 back and Trials was taken out. That's all my point is, and always has been.

Pve was built for casuals so Destiny would sell... actually that started with the spring update for Taken King. Crucible was balanced in D2 for esports, not arguing that at all.

I understand. I'm not arguing that. I'm arguing the notion "casuals are to blame". It's a combination of many things. Not solely on casuals. The ridiculous Casual vs Hardcore is a plague, that causes [b]even more[/b] animosity towards each respected side. Look. I dislike the sentiment "casuals are to blame". What I care about is a fun and enjoyable playing experience. If they "cater to the casuals" and provide fun activities, I'll play the shit outta them. Take them for what they are. If they "cater to the hardcore", I'll play the shit outta that, if it's fun. I don't have "a side". I won't "pick a side". I'm not here to gain friends/upvotes, nor enemies/downvotes. I'm just here to discuss the game I love. If I happen to meet some like minded guardians, they usually hit me for an invite to my clan.
