Poll for redrixs broadsword owners, what would fix it?
Ugh what a dissapointment. Such a long grind and for what might be the worst pulse rifle you could use in the crucible. My bygones has a faster time to kill then the time between bursts on this hunk of junk. Whoever play tests pvp weapons at Bungie please speak up and get this thing fixed.
I also hate the sight. Too much on the sides blocking your view. Ugh, all around its just so unsatisfactory. Players should not feel this way after putting in so much work. In fact it's the exact opposite of how they should feel.

1 RespuestaIt's more that High impact pulses are really bad rather than Redrix's being bad. I'd say Redrix's is the best overall high impact pulse rifle, but high impact pulse rifles are arguably the worst primary archetype right up there with scout rifles, making Redrix's seem worse than it actually would be if all the archetypes were balanced.

I just hate the sights on it. If there could've been a red dot-esque sight on it, I'd enjoy it a lot more. But just aiming through those iron sights within those brackets/side rails feels extremely awkward.

I'd change the barrel placement so it's facing the wielder. It'll make it easier to kill yourself, in case a Titan with OEM is bum rushing you with a dildo! oh oh and change it's name to redrix memesword 🌚

Literally just change the sights. It’s usually the one thing stopping me from getting consistent kills when I get flinched, because I lose track of my opponent so easily with the weird brackets on the sides and odd rectangular-sights. Would prefer a standard projection sight.

1 RespuestaThe only thing I would change is precision damage. You can’t 2-burst a 10 resilience guardian. Once in a while I see 10 resilience guardians in crucible. It’s rare, but they are out there. Increase precision damage to 34 and that would take care of that. Maybe more body damage as well, what is it right now, 22? I haven’t used it in so long. Maybe 34 precision and 24 body? That would make it great.

Smallbore/richochet rounds/mw stability is real currated roll, its WAY better than the static roll that can be pulled from collections. Maybe add in a catalyst (by completing its triumph) to replace its pos sight.

Personally, I love the gun. I've used Claymore for a long time, back in season 3, and was pumped that I could get a slightly better random roll version in season 4 in the form of the Broadsword. I could get perks that would make it better. More range, some more stability, and I was happy. Chambered compensator and ricochet rounds with a range masterwork has me quite happy. It performs very well in all activities. I have a couple thousand kills with it in the crucible. Is it meta? No. But just because something isn't meta doesn't mean it's not good. I've gotten triple kills with the thing. Does it reward precision? Yes. Does it punish bad aim? Yes. Should it be buffed? No. I get that maybe it's not as simple to use as an adaptive frame or aggressive frame pulse rifle, but Redrix has one trick that no other pulse rifle can offer: Desperado. It works better than kill clip, because unlike kill clip, it can be refreshed, as much as 3 times with a single instance of outlaw. And since all you have to do is get a headshot kill (a 6 crit kill isn't that hard to get, considering the nature of all pulse rifles), you get the first kill, and start chaining more kills together. Redrix can and often will out perform any other pulse rifle in the right hands. I've grown accustomed to the little blinders on the side, I've used a fair share of pulse rifles that use the same model back in D1.

My thoughts on the weapon: Range is just fine. Slow handling is understandable. Stability can either be good or bad, I've got great stability on mine. Aim assist and recoil direction are just fine. Damage is fine. RPM is debatable, I've held my own against other pulse rifles without the buff. If anything I would do nothing more than increase RPM up to 365 tops by either shortening the time between each bullet in a burst or just decreasing the time between each time you can shoot.

Buff all high impacts to kill with 5c 1b rather than 6c first. Then if Broadsword continues to underperform give it Feeding Frenzy to activate Desperado rather than Outlaw.

More handling and aim assist. It always feels super sluggish when it doesn’t have the perk active.

1 RespuestaRB honestly needs it’s own special perk. Maybe something like “built-in” Moving Target. 68 AA when proc’d. Swashbuckler would be great, as the increased rate of fire from Desperado does nothing against team shooting. It’s more about 1v1 scenarios.
