I dont think so man. It is a stupid "mistake" that should have been foreseen in the beginning of the season launch. Such a mistake like this even brings me to think that it was intentional, just to bring player numbers up or whatever reason. (Just a conspiracy)
How can a bug as big as this even happen, given such talented developers? Obviously a simple play test could have been done to fix this before launch. I mean all you have to do is run in and out of the area??
Surely if the managerie launched as it would be on july 9, it wouldnt feel that rewarding and i think people would have complained on the forums.

The fact that there is a triumph for doing a victory lap comes to mind. "Hey, should we test to see if the lap tracks and counts?" "Nah, we will deal with it later." Woulda caught it there.

There is a triumph for having a full 6 fireteam to do a victory lap after boss kill. If they had tested to ensure that worked, it would make them leave the room, and find the glitch. If they weren't lazy and bothered to test the game, they would have found it. This time is good for us, but that's a once in a blue moon. That's my point.

I was actually looking for lore my first time with a friends and we just ran into the glitch after running around the map. We literally came back and saw the chest res pawn and just slotted another rune and got more loot.

Well seeing how it was a thing in season 1 and 2 to farm tokens from patroll chests. I thought of that before it was even mentioned by anyone.
