Yeah but strikes dont take 30 minutes and most strikes have strike specific weapons like wardens law and pinnacle weapons like wendigo.
Menagerie gets boring after the first few times and I'm only playing it to get a God roll fusion now and then I'll never play it again and probably never the heroic since theres no incentive.
Strikes are fun and quick and I dont have to worry about blueberries messing up the mechanics.

I mean 45k damage a hit for a sword when izanagi with catalyst hits 21k is a good incentive to play it

Is that before or after u get stomped and killed by the boss? Swords are very situational and dependent on the activity. I know I wont be grinding for a sword, no point in wasting a heavy slot on that.

For the sake of discussion; Nightfalls have the specific loot, not strikes. I genuinely feel bad if you’ve had 30 minute menagerie runs. I actually enjoy the Menagerie right now more than the strikes that I’ve done hundreds of times. The ability to choose your reward greatly outweighs RNG in strikes or Nightfall. And unless you’re going for triumphs, you literally can’t fail at Menagerie no matter who messes up.

Is it Nightfalls? my bad, guess i'm stuck in D1 where you could get them from regular or atleast that's what i remember. I mean Menagerie would probably fun with friends but i can't see how you'd find it fun doing it solo tbh. Being able to choose my reward is a huge benefit and is a great upside, it should be in more activities instead and shouldn't be the main reason to do the activity. I don't like how to activities are in the same exact order every time and the bosses seem poorly designed but at least they arn't just meat shields (except the Ogre)

No worries, it was D1 you were thinking of. Man you must get matched with some real potatoes by the sounds of it. I solo queue and always get 10-12 minute runs.

I'm 720+ on my hunter trying to level up my titan right now. Its alot better but it just feels like I'm doing the same stuff. Lamp lighting is like the beginning of king's fall, the rubbing section is just like the leviathan raid and the part with all the thrills in the dark is just the crotas and raid beginning

Menagerie runs don't take 30 mins... they take about 15 usually. Even post nerf, they'll still be the most efficient grind in the game thanks to the loot selection system

Maybe if you have a clan/fireteam. I always solo and it takes 30 minutes or more. Maybe I'm unlucky but I run into people who dont know that the sword takes away the shields of the knights in the reposte and people who cant do the easy running part that's a ripoff from the leviathan raid

I solo it every other day and it still takes 15 minutes tops.
