It's already time consuming that we have to travel to ADA-1 after every frame calibration is completed, but can we possibly match make these activities from orbit?
I mean, literally every other activity can be done from orbit with the exception of public events, Blind Well, and Escalation Protocol. It is easy and much faster as a coordinated 6 man team to complete these said activities, making the time spent less tedious.
EDIT: Thank you for making this a Trending Post. I have summarized what I think might be decent QoL changes for the forges, Blind Well, Escalation Protocol.
Quality of life changes that would be nice for the forges going forward would be:
Whether or not it is going to happen, don't know - most likely not.
1) - Matchmaking from Orbit.
2) - Rally Banner activation in Forges / Blind Well (Do not think E.P is needed)
3) - Remove the "Return to ADA-1" Step from Frames.
4) - Improve the response time of Activity Cancellation.
(takes too long to cancel before being loaded into another activity)
5) - Unlock forges account wide including the frames pertaining to that forge.
6) - Let us Match Make Blind Well from Orbit.
7) - Let us Match Make Escalation Protocol from Orbit.

6 RespuestasYes, why do I have to fly to a planet, drive to a destination, essentially go back to orbit to matchmake, then be left on the planet after disengaging, only to habe to go to orbit again?????

12 RespuestasDidnt Bungie already commented on this, stating they see the use. But also stating, that the work going into it, would require alot of ressources? Like alot alot?
-
2 RespuestasWow no response from Bungie

#4 is so damn annoying. Beat boss, collect loot, inspect lo...new activity matchmaking starts...WTF?!? It said 30 seconds to restart, I haven’t even spent 10 seconds picking up my loot and inspecting it yet. So it’s, beat boss, collect loot, mad rush to cancel activity.

2 RespuestasHeres a question. Why does the auto rifle frame require you to get precision kills while the sniper rifle frame requires you to get double kills?
-
5 RespuestasThis has been asked about since Volundr came out; it ain’t going to happen. At least we can enter Menagerie from Orbit and not have to go through some 5 minute sparrow ride to a teleporter on Nessus.
4) - Improve the response time of Activity Cancellation. (takes too long to cancel before being loaded into another activity)
It took so long once to back out of Gambit MM that I got a warning for quiting a match, yet I was still in orbit and never loaded in.

I couldn’t agree more... a lot of this currently keeps me from doing weapon frames.
-
Upvote to matchmake forgers at all...
-
Agreed!!

4 RespuestasAlso add a forth player that can randomly invade and slow your progress.
-
upvote for change. That shit has never once worked. Stop wasting your time bungo doesnt listen.
-
I wonder if they’ll selectively cap some activities for next year’s milestones. All the leviathan raids stayed at 380 so likely the year 2 at 750? I like having options, but they’ll likely take some away
-
Forge PLAYLIST!!!! Playlist runs could trigger curated weapons thus helping new players do the content that have not done it by pulling from the playlist. With New Light coming you may want to consider that.
-
Absolutely agree. I did the forges last week and remembered how tedious they were. Unfortunately I don’t think Bungie cares at all, it’s been awhile since forges were released and no changes have been made.
-
100% agree with all of it that you suggested!
-
1 RespuestaRally banner in forges? Definately not needed! The rest yes!
-
1 RespuestaAnd Bungie will be like: "We doubled the distance you need to travel to Forges after numerous requests to bring back SRL.

11 RespuestasEditado por Acidwrym: 6/18/2019 4:26:40 AMThey could have done this for tons of things but never did. The reason is simple. You can blame Activision but a lot of the blame still lies with Bungie imo. Since D1 day 1 they’ve released content too soon, or cut up to make more money. Bare minimum effort for maximum profit. So to keep us playing as long as possible they began making things take longer. You don’t think someone at Bungie didn’t already think of loading into the tower from character selection? Or loading any number of events from orbit? No sparrow on Mercury? They knew how empty that dlc was. What about accessing your inventory screens? When D1 came out it was nearly instantaneous, ask anyone. These things were done intentionally to keep us playing as long as possible through often very shallow content by wasting our time. We’re very demanding, Gamers I mean. Hungry.

Yes to all of these 1) - Matchmaking from Orbit. 2) - Rally Banner activation in Forges. 3) - Remove the "Return to ADA-1" Step from Frames. 4) - Improve the response time of Activity Cancellation. (takes too long to cancel before being loaded into another activity) 5) - Unlock forges account wide including the frames pertaining to that forge. I did the entire forge quest steps on 2 chars which was already a ridiculous grind. Now I always have to watch out that I do not pick up the quest from Ada for my 3rd char because sadly, the Forges quest was designed in a way that you cannot abandon it. Else I would have NEVER made it on the 2nd char.

Editado por Northern: 6/18/2019 9:27:53 AMThe forge matchmaking process sucks ass.

2 RespuestasNot only that, unlock all forges on secondary characters and remove the annoying step to go to ada 1

1 RespuestaEditado por Silent Syzygy: 6/18/2019 3:42:51 PMMenagerie is the most fun I’ve had playing this game in awhile. The unique and varying sections are a blast. The mechanics are simple and help people understand, kind of, how raid mechanics work. Having some agency over your loot grind feels pretty effing good as well, not gonna lie.
