Can we have SRL back this year?
This was one of the best activities you guys ever came up with... pls bring it back this year....

During our furthering of games future. We can not divert resources from Eververse.. I mean Destiny DLC content to further your Guardians story. SRL requires ground up design to create the tracks which greatly impacts your illusion of... I mean furthering if your Guardians story. Meanwhile reality is we have tons of spaces to put invisible walls in for race zones. Though we really have been driven to find better ways to grind your progress just before a near halt while seemingly progressing. Our engine can import all of D1 at the stroke of a pen dropping game mechanics framework into the environment, by the way a dev said this line so.... Yea

I keep telling my friends that just started playing D2 about SRL, and they think it’s cool as hell a game like destiny even had a mode like that. I wish they would bring it back. It’s fun as hell imo

1 RespuestaThe next logical step, going into a sequel, would've been to have it around permanently... but Bungo isn't logical in any capacity. And, D2 wasn't a sequel, but a barebones expansion, when it first came out, as well.

1 RespuestaI've wanted this since the launch of destiny 2 and in my opinion it should run monthly just like the iron banner. It would be the perfect format for this event allowing people to play something other the usual PVP. Solutions to possible problems are simple: 1. You don't like the mode don't play it, I will never ever for the life of me understand why some people are so determined to deny something people enjoy in a game simply because they don't like it. Not everything is meant to be for everyone. 2. It would not take development away from other areas of the game, people are insanely blind to how game development works, granted I will never profess to truely understand all the intricacies involved in it but I do know that not every developer at a studio can all work on the same thing at the same time, this is simply not how it works. Each developer has a unique set of skills specially tailored to working on certain parts of the game and that is where they excel. IE you can't ask a bug tester to design the sandbox or vice versa.

Everyone wants different things so some people will cry if SRL comes back and some will be still crying if it doesn’t. What baffles me tho is that people complain if the content is added to the game (even if they hate the content itself). How about just enjoying that the stuff is actually being added and not removed? No? Would you rather have a stale game with same old crap to do (albeit fixed crap but still)? Idk man, some people think this game exists to be tailored to their personal needs. PvP people won’t give a crap and PvE cry babies will complain about the lack of [i]other[/i] PvE content. SRL was sort of mix of both so I see no issues with it being in the game as most of it is already coded and done for D1 so just use what you have while waiting for new content. Problem solved.

As much as people hate on SRL it was (still) a good side activity that actually had people playing it. Shaders were a top priority in even playing SRL. In the Bungie ViDOC they said they wanted to make your character aesthetically pleasing while also having the perks you want. Why not bring back SRL as an additional way to do that? Instead of earning powerful gear from SRL, make it so you earn ornaments, shaders, ships, sparrows, and so much more. If bungie is wanting to push for an RPG, they have to add RPG like add-ons. This game is cutting some aspects out of its shooter persona and implementing new ways to have fun. You’re bringing back old nightmares, might as well bring back great memories.

3 RespuestasThe people that decide at bungie are a lot like the hard core podcasters and streamers. They hate it so bungie hates it so they won't do it. It's like nightfall matchmaking. Hardcore streamers are against it but regular players would be fine with it so they won't do it. even though it hurts nothing to have the option.

Good times and gave a purpose to sparrows other than not having to run everywhere. Only time I've bought silver was to complete the srl sparrow collection. At least turn it back on in Destiny...

2 RespuestasI loved srl, still have all the armor in my d1 vault . Sadly if I recall bungie responded in an ama on reddit saying that player engagement was too low to warrant the required investment . I tried finding the a link and the thread but I couldn’t . Sadly I don’t think we’ll ever see srl again :(
