Not really, they haven't reveal anything exciting yet. I'm fact I am annoyed of their use of mmorpg. D2 will never be an mmo, and they are only adding on 3 bare bone stats that should never of been removed to begin with.
Then we have the original looter shooters next game coming out at around the same time.
That doesn't mean I have given up on destiny, or won't play the next update. I am just saying I will wait and see how it changes, and try it later in the year.

It can definitely be an mmorpg.
It can definitely be an mmorpg.
How? There is a cap of 16 players in an area with no AI. Remember Escalation Protocol when it first came out. They couldn't get enough people in the zone, because players doing other activities prevented it. Talk to me when they get a 50 man raid going. They are also only adding 3 original stats back. It is bare bones for an rpg, but that is another story.

MMO just means mass multiplayer online. A "mass" could be 16.
MMO just means mass multiplayer online. A "mass" could be 16.
Massive, not mass. You need to look up the definition, because 16 is not massive. You are also forgetting 16 is in community spaces with no AI. The number is lower on planets. "Look at that massive rally, a whole 16 people showed up." Quite defending poor word choices, until they get dedicated servers and up the core of the game it will never be massive.

Still doesn't change that it can become one.

Patrol spaces are definitely able to hold more people for one, and the development in live events helps.
Patrol spaces are definitely able to hold more people for one, and the development in live events helps.
So far the most is nine, that is a hard cap from the game code. The core of the game has to be changed to allow any more. Then you have to consider how original xbox1 and ps4 consoles will hold up to the extra strain of the increased graphic load. These are the same systems that can't run the current game at 30fps.
