I spent some time sharpening my knives today, it is all ECCHO's fault btw, and this knife has been dull for long enough that I actually think of it as being my "dull" knife. (I have a lot of knives, so shush)
Anyways, yeah, it was the last one I sharpened this morning and I just stuck it in my pocket and when on about my day.
So about 45 minutes ago, I am trying to do something and I need a flat head to put so prying pressure on to get this sucker to stop turning while I unscrew the screw. Both hands were busy holding this stupid screw so it would not slide back into the hole, so I could not text my wife and get her to bring me a flathead.
I am pretty sure you see where this is going, right? Yeah. Well, I sliced the inside of my left middle finger between the first and second knuckle, on the side of my index finger, down to the bone.
Why am I telling you this? Maybe because I am laughing about it and I know you all will get a laugh out of my stupidity as well, lol.
I hope ya'll are having a good day today, because honestly, even cutting my finger, today has still been an awesome day!

1 RespuestaHey we are in the same boat, was helping my one of my uncles put up sheetrock in his guest bedroom and cut my thumb down to the bone as well. My other uncle like a jack ass didn't put the razor correctly in the box cutter (Don't get me started on why we were using a box cutter for sheet rock...) Well I go to trim an edge off a piece we put up by a door frame and boom, the blade found it's way into my thumb! Hurt like hell, all bandaged up and liquored up now though so it's a'okay

1 RespuestaWhen I was a baby I stuck my finger in the fireplace on the blue flame and burnt off some of my skin and to this day on ginger is skinner than the other also when I was working out I cut open my leg that I had to get stitches

1 RespuestaA cut down to the bone sounds fun. I had a double stacked pallet of drinks fall on me yesterday at work. Knocked me down on my left side lightly skinning my left elbow and slightly bruising the left side of my hip and knees below the knee caps. Despite having a good few hundred pounds of liquid drop on top of my lower body, I still haven't once broken a bone in my life. Just a little soreness but all in all, in pretty good shape. 👍

3 RespuestasMay I ask why the knife in your pocket was facing upward and not downward? Also how did it cut you? I thought you said you couldn’t let go of the screw?

1 RespuestaOuch! I hope it heals the right way. Glad you had a good day nonetheless.

3 RespuestasEditado por Sylver: 6/6/2019 12:53:17 AMIt's official. Once a knife has drawn self-blood, it has now become a sacrificial dagger. No going back. You must only refer to this knife as the sacrificial dagger. I have 2, one of which is conveniently an actual dagger. The other is so small and pathetic you wouldn't expect it to rip my hand open when I drew it.

1 RespuestaOof. Make it a zipper and hide things there

1 RespuestaEditado por RollTide2235: 6/5/2019 11:05:36 PMThe good thing about bleeding is that it will stop.
Eventually
Edit: and if you think you hit bone you need stitches my dude. Also, if you cant fully extend or flex you finger then you cut a tendon and really need to have it checked out.
