Choosing gear we earn is cool but,I want to choose the ABILITIES I run!

I am sick and tired of every single "attunement, way and code" you have set up for us to play YOUR way.How about giving us back some control of how we set up what abilities WE want lumped together?Bring back THAT,and maybe we can beat some more out of your tired set up that been forced upon us since day 1 of D2.

I did the math after reading this, destiny had 3 unique perks to choose from for each branch in each individual subclass (3 grenades, jump mods, super mods, and melee mods, plus 3 of the perks off to the right of all that.) and found that we had 6,561 unique combinations of perks per subclass in d1, 19,683 different sets per class and 59,049 throughout all three classes. compare this to destiny 2, where we have 2 class abilities, 3 grenades, 3 jump mods and 3 perk blocks to select from each subclass. totaling up to only 54 combinations per subclass, 162 per class and 486 if we combine all three classes together. from this we can conclude that d2 has approximately 4/5 of a percent of the build diversity that destiny 1 had. and it shows. and if anyone says that the build diversity doesnt matter because there are just going to be a few viable combinations of perks for endgame activities then youre kind of missing the point, it really has more to do with the fact that we arent allowed to experiment as much and still hurts the endgame as a result. if I start playing one class in a new game and have the ability to pick from 19,683 potential builds for that one character, it will take me far longer to experiment with all of them and truly find the most effective builds than if I only have 162 combos to choose from, and the higher number of possible builds would extend the endgame because we would spend far more time experimenting with them all and discussing the potential of each class to extend how long people remain interested in the endgame. and in a game built around people trying the same activities for extended periods of time, its going to help immensely if we can have the ability to further mix up our classes and abilities to make the grind less repetetive. there really isnt any form of improvement to be found in their current system.
