nerfs and buffs in online orientated games are not about community and player feedback, in fact when situations like that happen they become stupidly unbalanced (look at old league or smite) they utilize statistics they pull from the game to see what is over performing and what is under performing, it doesn't matter if "no one asked for this" stats will always dictate the outcome of a nerf or buff, and of course hardly any or no one is going to ask for a nerf to popular stuff that's just common sense, as a hunter i will whole heartedly admit that out of my three subclasses i only used 3 exotics (orpheus, raiden, nighthawk) and im sure others can say the same. The point is they are over used, and they 100% are a necessity in 100% of the activities "buff other stuff then". So you're gonna honestly tell me if they buffed let's say lucky pants (let's say the perk gave your hc a 600% damage buff for hells sake) you would tell me that you'd prefer that over a damn near instant super 24/7 if used properly (and it's easy to use properly) buffing the other crap wouldn't change current playstyles for more than a week.
Datto almost captures my thoughts exactly so hear ya go and shut up
Man people really don't want to give up their power fantasies, if something isn't borderline broken or is broken it's not worth it apparently, quit circle jerking eachother and actually try to play a challenging game for once, bungie wants to make a challenging endgame, kinda hard to do with this shit
In fact i honestly can't wait for you guys to leave, you've been saying you'd do it for a while now so what's the hold? Because you are the most toxic group of players i've ever had the displeasure of knowing, every single time you guys -blam!- like a little toddler screaming "I WANT IT NOW". Well you say you're going to leave so do it, plenty of other looter shooter you can -blam!- and moan about because they don't do it your way. You're worse than every other fanbase on the planet
OH and uhm if you do comment, bringing up personal stats and saying you know more because you've played more doesn't mean anything. You don't contribute to the conversation at all when you do that so if you are kindly get the -blam!- out and go on a post you agree with so you can continue jacking eachother off

Oh wow, you went full white knight for Bungie. You completely disregard others opinions and devolved it to this, it didn't even go this way till you got butthurt. If anyone's to blame it's you -blam!-s that think Bungie can do no wrong, get the -blam!- over yourself.

7 Respuestas...and that's the problem. "Analytics" aren't magic. You are only as good as what you measure (if you measure the wrong things you make bad decisions)....and you are only as good as your UNDERSTANDING of the system your working with. IOW, if you don't understand WHY something is happening you are going to make bad decisions about WHAT to do about it. The problem here is that Bungie keeps trying to balance the entire sandbox like the game is a compettive shooter. When the game is actually a LOOT-BASED RPG. In a comp shooter, players WANT as many things to be as viable as possible...and for weapons to perform **about** the same. But in a loot-based game, players want POWER-PROGRESSION. They want very CLEAR differences between weapons....and some weapons to CLEARLY be more powerful than others. Otherwise there is no point in CHASING after anything. Since nothing you get is going to perform any differently from what you already have. So a system where----in a loot game---where everything is seeing "equivalent" usage....is a BROKEN sandbox. It means there are NO aspirational weapons...and no power-fantasy. IOW, what were seeing is a return to the same BROKEN developmental mindset that led to the trainwreck that was vanilla Destiny 2....and that Bungie STILL hasn't learned the lesson of that game's failure. Because they just keep repeating the same mistakes.

13 RespuestasI don’t think bungie knows what a discussion or conversation is.
-
2 RespuestasFun > analytics
-
14 RespuestasNo wonder you are a defender of Bungie’s mistakes, you agree with them that content creators are more valuable than players.
-
3 RespuestasIf people on here were in charge of the game's development we'd end up with 0.0000001 sec TTKs on every weapon.
-
2 RespuestasYou do know that datto was crying at bungie hq about the whisper being too strong right .... ? Analytics my ass ...
-
Now that whispers getting nerfed imma switch to the -blam!-ing use arbalast......
-
Nerfs are only part of the problem (maybe a lot more) the thing is bungie really has to do something great that shuts us up I understand it’s a bittersweet feeling but one can only hope for the best
-
This game is under perfoming and these nerfs are just going to continue that trend
-
4 RespuestasSo why are the under performing staying as they are (obviously they may change, but I'd have expected a good news/bad news from the twab) Skull/rigs and phoenix will still be the most used in pve, unless they nerf them way too hard, if that happens then exotic armour would mostly become a niche thing, and armour perks would be more important.

6 RespuestasWhat game are you a developer on?
-
2 RespuestasOh hey, someone who’s thinking rationally. It’s so freaking rare to find rational thinkers on these forums now.
-
Doesn’t matter if they look at data when making a decision if they don’t understand the data they are looking at, they proved that they don’t when they talked about data “supporting” enhancement cores.
-
8 RespuestasHere’s the problem, were these nerfs necessary? I’d say out of the ten maybe 1 or 2 were needed, but a lot of these happened for no reason Shards of galanor, Ursa Furiosa and lord of wolves were all pointless Lord of wolves literally became useful for the first time in 4 years
-
7 RespuestasMaybe the problem is that people only use those exotics because they're the only ones worth a damn because the rest are kinda shit. Nah. Couldn't be. That's just crazy
-
1 RespuestaI agree with this 100%. But part of me feels like bungie is trying to once again dictate how we play and what we should use.
-
24 RespuestasEditado por piratepatchy243: 5/17/2019 11:13:47 AMThis would fine if they can actually use their data effectively, time and time again has shown they can't. They can't balance in the middle either, this "balance" is going to simply shifts the loadouts. Then those loadouts will be used to the point of also getting nerfed, we've been down this route and it won't turn out any better.

5 RespuestasSo why are they beefing ursa furisoa again then ?? Not one person I know has used those since the last nerf it got because they suck ! Now they are simply worthless
