No wonder why y'all are dissatisfied being solo players who bought a multiplayer game.

Its not a multiplayer game. Its a game that is designed to be played as either a solo player or as co-op..... ...until you get to end game. Then, this big bait-and-switch happens....and all the content that is soloable suddenly disappears.

Exactly. Though the multiplayer part will continually be played around here as the main part of the game. 🙄 * During D1 there was a phase when crucible was getting focused on and PVE was being largely forgotten. Now, we are in the phase where any new drip fed loot has a quest or hoops to jump through, and the normal loot has been neglected and pretty much soldiers on in its repetitious, boring glory.
Exactly. Though the multiplayer part will continually be played around here as the main part of the game. 🙄
Because Bungie has created such a hostile environment that solo players have largely been driven out of the game.
Now, we are in the phase where any new drip fed loot has a quest or hoops to jump through, and the normal loot has been neglected and pretty much soldiers on in its repetitious, boring glory.
Because Bungie clearly has a very limited developmental bandwith allocated to the game (probably because most of those resources have been diverted to Destiny 3)...and they are looking to get the most amount of player engagement for the least investment of monetary and human resources.

Back of the box says 1-player. Online is mandatory. Multiplayer is optional.

True. Bungie doesn’t bill the game as multiplayer. They sell it as a shared world shooter with the raid being the only multiplayer element. The problem comes in with all these elite players needing to be carried through every activity by a team. The teams make activities that are meant to be solo-able too easy so they cry about how the activities aren’t challenging enough. Bungie immediately bows down because, much like everyone else, they don’t understand that being on a team creates the illusion of skill where nothing special exists. Eventually you end up with this -blam!- level of challenge that requires a team at all times with no tools in game for building those reams. No wonder Activision dropped this dumpster fire early. There’s no more money to be made here.
