In Zavala's video about what is a guardian. It clearly shows the speaker has a ghost. So what happened to the speaker?
-
He dead
-
The Consul took his Ghost and put it on his necklace of dead Ghosts before he killed the Speaker
-
The consul killed him or he died due to the position he was kept in for a long time since the light was lost he died permanently.

7 RespuestasHe died when the light was offline. So, like the lightless Guardians we see piled up during the first part of the vanilla story, he's presumably perma-dead. What I don't get is... we lose the Speaker, and he's never replaced. We lose the Hunter Vanguard, and he's never replaced either. So if we don't need to replace our supposed leader and the guy who's in charge of the Hunters... why did we have them in the first place?

Weren't dead humanoids initially found and made guardians "on the spot"? What difference is there when a lightless person is revived and made lightbearer for the first time X years after death or if our ghosts had simply waited for the Red War to end and the light to return? Shouldn't everyone have been brought back provided their ghosts weren't killed off?

2 RespuestasHe’s dead Jim.

7 RespuestasHe was killed before the traveler was able to restore light to the general population of guardians, therefore permadied.
-
4 RespuestasHe died. I have more sympathy if a cardboard box died. Plus he isnt a vendor so from a gameplay perspective he was useless.
-
Wasn't the speaker killed when the ghost were suppressed, and could no longer revive. That means if they died during that time then they are 100% dead
-
He dead af

He's hella dead

Speaker died. His Ghost was presumably killed considering it wasn’t present. Also, that Speaker in the trailer is a different Speaker. There have been many throughout the years.

1 RespuestaEditado por Kanashimi510: 5/4/2019 6:58:51 AMHe died while our light was "gone". When the traveler was captured by the cabal. If his ghost lived through the red war, he could possibly be brought back...... Is there a precedent in the lore where a guardian/risen somehow died without light, and was then brought back again by their ghost? Maybe someone who has read more lore than me knows if it's possible.

1 RespuestaPeople are downvoting it because you diminished the lore tab with your query. They have confused it for fan fiction. You have offended the lore God and have been punished accordingly. Her disciples, the Lorellians, are known for the wrath of their down votes. You are now a marked man.

The Speaker died is what happened.

1 Respuestaputting if you downvote you need to get a life as your title will get you downvotes.

20 RespuestasEditado por Grays_KS27: 5/3/2019 11:31:39 PMFull explanation: It has always been common knowledge that the Speaker was a Guardian, so yes, he has a Ghost (that was by his side at all times in D1). His Ghost was most likely killed by the Cabal during the attack on the City when or after the Speaker was captured. There’s no reasonable alternative. The Speaker was Lightless and tortured, left on the brink of death for an extended period of time. A person in that condition falling a few meters flat on their face could die. But, if you want something that “makes more sense” it’s possible that Consul killed the Speaker with a physical blow before hitting the release button, telling by the heavy grunt made before the button was hit.

Editado por PkmnGymLeader: 5/4/2019 3:33:46 AMI assume he couldn't be resurrected because guardians still didn't get their light back when he died. Either that or the ghost died at some point.

The Speaker died officially in the Red War.

1 RespuestaThis game sucks in the sense that the consul killed the speaker before I was able to. :/

6 Respuestas<Ghost was most likely killed. The Speaker died of exhaustion or being stabbed by the Consul's comically small blade.>
