REPEAT AFTER ME: BOTH HAVE THE SAME EFFECT
-
If Luna and not forgotten get nerfed another weapon will take it's place. And it will be another 180 rpm hand cannon. And the rest of the hand cannons will barely be used. But if the other hand cannons get buffed. If auto rifles and other weapons get buffed to be more competitive then there'll be more variety. People use what kills the fastest. If a weapon isn't killing fast enough it won't be used.
-
More handcannons in general need to be viable. Auto rifles are good you just gotta find the right ones. Misfit and gnawing Hunger are both good. Sweet business is surprisingly annoying and very difficult to counter if used correctly. Halfdan with a half decent roll is good. Oh and NEVER sleep on a suros user. I also just gave you an auto rifles in every archetype that is good sooooo yeah have fun
-
Thank you for your response. I didn't know what the state the auto rifles were in exactly. I mostly use pulses and some hand cannons. And I wish the slower rpm hand cannons were just as good as the 180s.
-
Right. I think bungie is weary of making the others good because if they did Most of us vets would be about untouchable in crucible. We've just been playing too long. It's not about what's good and what's bad we just have a lot of experience playing the game and we all prefer handcannons because of the way the game works. Bullet efficiency has everything to do with it. Why would I use a weapon that I have to do constant damage with when I can tap you peak into cover move tap you twice and boom dead. Auto rifles require to much risk for the reward. If you make them extremely fast killing there really isn't a reason to use anything else because of the ease of use with an auto rifle. Just hold trigger down and make sure reticle is on target to do damage. How difficult is that? This particular weapon type can only be used really consistently if it's just stronger than everything else. See year one D1 and year 1 D2 for further reference

Editado por SirHeadPoppington: 4/8/2019 11:06:14 PMIf they're buffed by exactly the right amount to make things perfectly balanced and not too much then yeah. That's no different to saying if Luna's/NF are nerfed by just the right amount everything else will see more use. Auto rifles or something else could also end up being buffed by too much and becoming overused, it's really no different.
-
Everyone could use the auto rifles... that’s the difference. Much fairer.
-
Okay, that still doesn't explain the difference between buffing/nerfing one side or the other.
-
No difference for me... just how the TTK feels in game and whether you want it to be ~0.67s like LH and NF or around 0.9+ like all the other weapons at the same range and usability
-
Yeah fair enough, TTK is the only real difference. Some people act like a lower TTK is always good but it's personal preference really.
-
The lower you get the less team shooting matters as you can’t bullet sponge pulling the aim assist and slide into cover again. It’ll make it feel more like COD. I quite like where it is now but I’d make shotguns less lethal and side arms etc better so there’s more variety

Editado por Fujimoose: 4/9/2019 5:24:10 PMI think we need more wide open maps for scouts and snipers to shine. I miss combined arms. Most of the maps are way too shotgun friendly.

Yup, plus access to all weapons with a grind.
