A headshot from a sniper rifle (not the rapid fire frames) or a headshot from an aggressive frame shotgun followed by a melee should be a kill.
This will give more use the the under used special weapons as well, such as 90 RPM snipers (they have lower aim assist than 140s so aren't typically used since they offer no advantages). Supers should be powerful, but not a free kill button.
Edit: The main purpose of this post is to point out that the only real strategy for dealing with top supers like spectral, hammers, etc. is to run away. I don't think that should be the only option. Supers should be powerful and kill quickly (so buff Stormtrance), but they should require a little bit of thought before activation. Right now, the better supers require virtually none, so even if another players completely outmaneuvers a super and shoots it twice with a shotgun, it doesn't matter. Super wins.
At the VERY least, buff sniper precision damage on the 90 and 75 RPM archetypes.

Supers are nothing but cheap kills. I would love a pvp mode without them.

21 RespuestasImo, supers shouldn't gain any damage resistance at all. You're already 1-shotting everything in front of you, why do you need to be tankier on top of that?

Its payback time..while the low skilled players should be able to have kills aka fun too. Its time for the opposite players have to run for their life. PVP should be fun for every good players regardless the skill. Good PVP player is those that never quit and always put his/her best effort to play the game. Bungie should never only cater the better skilled players. D2 PVP and PVE sucks because bungie cater or focus to Better skilled players. High skilled players are minority. This is video game for entertainment only. We pay to be entertained..if it not fun for us..why buy and play? This is opposite from work or job. At work..we get paid. The company pay more and cater to Higher skilled workers. If Bungie want my money..then entertain me.

18 RespuestasA lot of the supers in the game though are melee supers. By reducing their damage resistance you can end up rendering them worthless against fighting against basic team fire. Super damage resistance on the melee supers and ranged supers is fine. I don't want special instantly wiping supers as that cripples the once every 3-5 minute power and countering that supers bring to the table. Spectral just needs it's armor toned down and everything else is fine. Sunbreaker really doesn't last that long and nor does sentinel. Bottom tree striker is a bit more difficult to deal with, but it's not very hard to out run. I don't want supers to be counter played by something you constantly spawn with. Heavy should be the only weapons to truly mop and super.

4 RespuestasI have headshot plenty of people on their supers and it’s instantly kills them just depends on sniper and reflex’s. The ones I tend to use is either the crucible sniper, the vanguard one depending on role, and then when I get it I’ll use the gambit prime one. It takes time to master sniping and quick scoping. But when you get it down it’s very rewarding.

2 RespuestasSupers shouldn’t be an instant win button like they are now. They should be powerful, but a skilled player or team should be able to counter them. Right now the best counter to a spectral blades in comp is to jump off the map before they kill you, which says a lot about how stupid they are.

Super resilience is fine except spectral blades, the dmg reduction needs to match other supers and the bonus from being invisible should be removed. A crit + melee with all snipers should shut down a super and a box breathing crit with all snipers should instantly kill everything.

Idk about the shotguns doing that much damage. Playing against a good team in comp, any roaming super would be doomed as they would all ape you simultaneously. But I agree with your post.

2 RespuestasUnless stormcaller is allowed to kill faster, this idea is going in the dumpster. Seriously is stormcaller ever going to get buffed the right way? It takes 3 ticks to kill one person, 6 ticks on supers. Last word kills faster than stormcaller lol
