I think you need to upgrade it somehow. Did you already beat the tier one version of reckoning? Drifter may have a quest that you need to work on?

I did upgrade it. When I go to the drifter all he has is the purple on which I need the blue one to make tier 2 armor

Did that work? Just remember if you fail a tier two Reckoning, you can get that tier two thingy back from the bank so you don't need to make a new one. But you need to hurry, if youre too late getting it, the bank will eat it when it resets for the next run of Reckoning.

I assume that you went into your inventory and looked at the upgraded synthesizer already? Inside that is where you get the tier two thingys for the Reckoning.

I’m aware of how to make tier 1 and 2 armor. I’m saying the problem is my warlock only has tier 1 green synthesizer and the different only has a purple one. So this means I can’t make a tier 2 armor

You can create all three types of armor with the fully upgraded synthesizer.

Which I can’t make the third one because you need the second one to make the third
