Bungie, I miss being a Guardian....

What happened? I don’t want to battle other Guardians for an entire season or feel like I’m doing errands for some random NPC. I want to explore Vex ruins, topple Fallen houses, dismantle Cabal regimes, stop Hive gods from being summoned, find out what’s going on with the Taken, etc. Forsaken was great for a while. Gambit was barely required for anything, there was the first dungeon, and the DC was in some kind of time cycle that the NPCs were aware of which made the story this new cool thing..... it was interesting and fun and there were things to look forward to. I would have MUCH preferred more traditional story DLCs than this annual pass content. Than just being given random challenging activities to do just for the sake of it. I don’t know what this game is right now but I sure do miss feeling like a Guardian. The power fantasy is gone, the new activities are average at best because they feel more like tasks, there’s no new planets to run around on, and the PvE/PvP blend is STILL dividing the community and is possibly more prevalent than ever. The focus is shifting to battling other Guardians which MANY people think should be akin to a side activity only. That has always been a community issue but it’s worse now. This doesn’t feel like Destiny anymore. It feels like some random person took over and made the game something different.
