It's a bit like a comet speeding towards the earth
And people are closing their eyes and putting up an umbrella!
Of course you could always slate the demo, if it makes you feel better?
But the launch is coming, and I presume they'll iron out any issues that occurred on the 6 week old demo.
And its obvious to say that a big chunk of the destiny player base will migrate.
And then if Anthem continues to develop, more will go.
Destiny will counter by reskinning Gally or and vex Mythoclast
Or reskinning the cabal lol
Annual pass will drop providing 3 1/2 minutes worth of content.
And people will go Back to being as bored as they are now.
Forums will brim with toxic soup, and destiny sales will reduce even more.
Activision gone, Bungie will struggle, and deliver even less.
Meanwhile pve in Anthem will have grown and grown, and one day your average player will wake up saying "Why am I still playing this shyte?"
I'm a long time big big player of destiny, been loyal to this game for 4 1/2 years, being top 5% in D1 for time spent playing.
But I'm bored bored bored with this game atm. Reskin after Reskin, revamp after revamp of old weapons
Pvp sucks, with a massive pile of weapons at our disposal, but a hand full of weapons always being the meta.
Cry babies in pvp destroying pve constantly
Virtually no new enemies since launch
Lies and deceitful behaviour, and Bungie not the slightest bit interested in listening to its audience.
Masterwork cores, lack of exotics dropping. Even when they do they suck and special abilities absolutely boring.
Anthem is looking mighty fine atm

You are very, very delusional. The game will not be fixed and the bugs and server issues are not the only concerns many have with the game. The gunplay is objectively bad to the point that I see no real point in even having weapons. The movement is very clunky and unintuitive, especially underwater. The endgame seems like it will be laughable. The lack of PvP is actually more likely to be detrimentle to the longevity of the product. You can hate on Destiny all you want, but the game is very polished and has excellent mechanics, the same cannot be said for Anthem. The concept is cool but the execution seems to be monumentally flawed.

Strange, I thought it was OK I do laugh at people like you, the Ignorant, who can tell you all about a game and how bad its going to be, weeks before it's released (based on a demo that's released and is 7? Weeks old) There is a possibility it may suck ass, but it's probably best to wait for its release before you critique it. No PvP and 3rd person? Uhhhh no thx. It could turn out to be the greatest 3rd person game ever and I wouldn't play it just because of that.

Don't really remember people saying no man's sky would kill destiny, due to it originally being PS4 exclusive, and no where near the same game, heck we even knew it wouldn't have multiplayer. Didn't hear this claimed for Red dead at all. I heard people say it was going to be taking up all their time, but not that it would "kill" destiny. The division was the main one I heard this about, but any sensible person would question this just due to the fact that they are very different games. Mainly one is meant to be more based in real life while the other is sci-fi. Anthem is by far the closest threat destiny has ever come up against other than maybe Warframe, but that is a free to play game so it is hard to compare. Third person may ruin it for some, but not for most people, and seeing as PvE players make up the majority of the destiny player base, it will be very interesting to see what happens.

I do. I remember them hyping it up saying it was going to kill destiny blah blah blah all the same trash people said about all of those games. Monster hunter really cracked me up. The people that were hyping it saying how great it was were back on the forums in less then a month. You have to realize some people won't play a game solely because it's 3rd person. The division had its fun moments but the 3rd person aspect caused it to be a game I couldn't get into. Anthem is literally a paid hybrid of warframe with microtransactions. Warframe didn't kill destiny. You do realize PvP players also make up a large portion of the PvE player base correct? We are forced to grind PvP to get dusk rocks/bygones/blast furnace/ enhanced gear from the dreaming city and/or raids because there is no enhanced PvP gear etc.

Yes and the statistics show that those that show up to PvE just to grind for a some gear are very few. There are far more that only play PvE than those that only play PvP. PvP is played regularly by maybe 30 percent of the player base.

They do? Where are these statistics showing who solely plays PvE and who plays PvE just for PvP gear. Because destiny tracker certainly doesn't do that.

Can't actually find it anymore, they removed those trackers for "spreading a false narrative". Although even destiny tracker shows a significant amount more playing PvE over PvP daily. Only ever really seeing spikes on weeks with iron banner. But again can't look up the past info to show it because they don't allow that. You would actually have to long on to see it. In fact this is one of those spike moments due to the last word quest, and it is still below.

That's because it never showed that. I'm a destiny tracker wh0re lol. Right. And as i've stated PvP players also have to play PvE so cut the PvE numbers in half. Yeah PvE is spiked I would agree. Have a lot of friends that don't even touch PvE for dusk rock/ enhanced gear that played PvE for last word.

Not sure what's confusing about it. They removed the chart that was showing the daily numbers in a line graph because it was plummeting a week or so after launch that's it. The "false narrative" was that destiny was dying.

Also edited my previous post and added a link that did a comparison just to show the fairly large difference in the numbers of people playing PvP to PvE.

The fact that anthem doesn't have PvP means that I'll play D2, COD, R6, OW, and others games way more, don't get me wrong, I'll play anthem, but when it gets dry I'll go straight back to PvP games

Aww, your guys' misguided notions are cute. PvP, vis a vis Trials, is what really put Destiny on the map. Destiny's PvP is unique, and many people play the game mainly for it. Anyway, in a way I'm glad Anthem has no PvP; makes my choice to not buy it easier. ;)
