Hey all non raiders!
Just a quick Question.
Why dont you raid?
Is it because they are hard? Is LFG not an option for you? Are they too time consuming? Have you tried using Guided Games?
Trying to gather info as the why the Raid completions are so low, thanks for your time.

3 RespuestasI've been thinking about trying Last Wish and/or SotP a lot lately but I don't want to waste people's time if I mess up. I have watched videos but it's not the same as getting in there and doing it. The only time I have enough time to do one is on the weekends after I put my son to bed.
-
Post on lfg saying its your first time, wanna learn and have fun. If your level is high enough, try Scourge of the Past first, since it's much shorter and simpler than Last Wish. Don't try to join other groups, they always assume you know what to do.
-
3 Respuestasall my friends play Neverwinter people on LFG want people with 10+ raid clears i cant do the raid with people cause i havent done a raid yet I cant get a raid done me right now- 🗿🔫
-
Honestly it's the headset. Hearing other people's mouth noises to be exact. Snorting, sniffing, smacking, sucking their teeth, crunching Doritos with their mouth open, heavy breathing right into the mic etc. It all just makes my skin crawl. I can't help it.
-
Dunno really. At first I wasn't all that interested so never bothered. But now I'd quite like to get Acrius etc. Just not got the friends playing anymore to get a group together and my few experiences with lfg in D1 put me off that route. I suppose I'm like a lot of people and are waiting for someone to ask me to join a group instead of reaching out. Don't get me wrong, I know that probably isn't going to happen, but I bet you the majority of people are hoping someone else reaches out.
-
2 RespuestasWhere to begin? Let start with no friends in destiny to play with. People that say join a clan, I did once back in D1. I literally about quit playing Destiny over it. One of the worst experiences I have ever had in gaming. Also, lets say I join a clan, the vast majority that I have seen want you to be "active x amount of days." Nothing wrong with them making rules, just can't commit to that. Guided Games can have "unknown" for time limits. LFG is good for people who just need to fill a spot. Even then, it is "x amount of clears" or KWTD. People that say watch a video doesn't understand that it isn't the same compared to actually doing the raid. I have watched the Leviathan raid, EoW, and SoS. Doesn't mean I fully understand it. Time is a factor. I don't have a clue when I will get on and actually be on for an amount of time.

Just go to guided games.... I've done 19 guided games and never have they waited more than 45 minutes to find us. We find people instantly. We ussaully get the raid done in less than 50 minutes since we can litterrally just 5 man the whole raid.
-
6 RespuestasGuided Games? You mean waiting 3 hours to still not find a team

Editado por Sage: 1/26/2019 9:21:38 PMI heard the raids this time around are a lot harder than King's Fall and SIVA. So I got scared.. Also I have never raided yet in D2 and I don't wanna waste people's time. I feel I do not have good DPS weapons yet.

Because of ahole people and game is DEAD!

11 RespuestasI hate all raids in Destiny 1 and 2. I would never do any of them. Lfg is awful and nobody likes me. I have 2 characters at 543 and 478 and no one wants to teach me scourge. Im a solo player and I cant believe that no one will raid with me, especially because I dont have a mic. The Destiny community is toxic masculinity and no one will accept me even when I use the bedt weapons for DPS which are Trinity Goul and my green EX45-BS grenade launcher. What a bunch of toxic males. In fact. IM QUITTING THIS TRASH GAME! ~ Anyone on here who doesnt raid

I've hardly raided due to having to take care of my young son. Due to him it is very hard to be able to dedicate such time block, and since I don't want to be the one dropping out and breaking up the team I simply hardly ever do them. And I am not the only one where family life prevents us from wanting to do such. Dropping out of a strike, crucible or whatever is of no concern since who cares, a falling apart raid team simply sucks.

6 RespuestasI did Leviathan a load of times (only six actual completions, I think) just for Legend of Acrius. I love that raid, but it is about as far as I’m willing to dive into mechanic-heavy raids. I also did Eater of Worlds a few times, but I never did Spire of Stars. Last Wish seems -too large/too many encounters -too time consuming -lacking in good rewards -very, very mechanically driven So, I haven’t really bothered with it. Scourge of the Past, on the other hand, seems to be a bit less crazy. I might get myself together and go on LFG to try to get it done if I find the time. I only did a few raids in D1, but I absolutely loved them. I think the real problem for me is that I don’t have a dedicated team that I can rely on and have fun with to raid when I so desire, so it’s kind of discouraging.

1 RespuestaI prefer to do my raid clears quickly and easy but I don't mind helping couple of first timers. Max 2 per. team Also to the people complaining about KWTD. If you watch a raid guide and understand it YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO so just join them and ask them nicely can they help you to get your first clear. If not just leave and find another post. Nothing is more annoying that having first timers join and they don't even tell you that they don't have any idea what to do and just run around doing nothing.

4 RespuestasHonest feedback from a D1 vet who did all D1 raids. Got everything possible in the raids including outbreak prime. 1. Riven is too long and complicated to learn (try doing riven properly to see what I mean). 2. The raid exotics require insane rng luck to get. 3. Scourge is ok but again rewards are crap. I have zero desire to bother. I did help a few people out in last wish but always left after the stage they needed help with.
-
2 RespuestasRaiding in anything hasn't even slightly interested me since ICC back in WoW. No amount of reward is worth wasting my time on something I don't find fun.
-
1 RespuestaBecause I simply don’t have time anymore. I can, Sit up until 3am with randoms. Spend almost a weekend day organising a group and getting it done. Lfg. Wait for 4 hours on guided games for some group. I’d like to, I just have more important stuff going on.
-
8 RespuestasI still haven't done a Raid. People never want to take the time to teach other people what to do.
-
3 RespuestasBecause raid fighting has become raid choreography. If you miss your mark by just a little bit it’s a wipe......do it all over again. I’m not sure what I hate more, when I screw up and cause the team to wipe, or when someone else does. If they could come out with a raid that requires a lot of cooperation, but also much more fighting like Escalation Protocol I’d probably be on board. So to sum it up: Way too much choreography, not nearly enough fighting. Jumping through hoops and standing in a small circle while being attacked is completely lame. And don’t get me started on the “throwing orbs at a target” mechanic. It’s lame and pretty played out at this point. I thought we had guns to shoot things, let’s do that more.
-
2 RespuestasLfg = bad experiences for me. Any game that has in game optional matchmaking will get my future attention (Anthem, division) My actual friends stopped playing destiny. Team wipe mechanic just ruins the game. Way too many go stand here or run through there holding this, throw this at that, I’m here to kill stuff not compete in the olympics.
-
2 Respuestas1. I don't watch videos to "learn" how to play a video game. 2. Time. While I may game for several hours at a time, I hate the idea of locking myself down to one unrewarding mode for that amount of time.
-
I would love to raid! However, I prefer to play video games with people I know in real life. Too many bad on-line experiences with people I don’t know, so I simply won’t try anymore. This is why my clan is comprised strictly of people who truly know each other, face to face. We joke that nobody can get away with anything shady because we know where each other sleeps (and it’s true)! 😁 Raids are a lengthy, stressful endeavor. They require high levels of patience, calm, and trust in addition to a big chunk of time. When raiding with my real-life friends and family, we all had a great time together, even though we rarely completed anything. Failing didn’t matter though because we raided as something challenging to do together, win or lose. Most of us — my clan — also prefer to learn on the run. We actively avoid videos and walkthroughs. They feel like spoilers to us, borderline cheating. When we solved a raid encounter, we solved it for ourselves. Solving the challenges is an important part of the fun. Other people have strong — and usually toxic — reactions to that sentiment. This makes us largely unwelcome in other people’s runs. That said, we gladly accept tips from other people we run into (IRL) for an encounter we fail to solve in a session, so it’s not at all that we’re close-minded about accepting help. We just prefer organic knowledge transfers instead of anonymous spoon-feeding. Destiny has unfortunately fallen out of favor among my friends and family. We play other games together; most notably Overwatch, The Division, Fallout 76, and DragonBall Fighter Z. We’re looking forward to The Division 2 and Anthem. Some of us still play Destiny together, but not often enough to raid anymore. I miss raiding. But it’s more important who I raid with than merely that I’m raiding.

1 RespuestaEditado por Calevis24: 1/25/2019 5:43:45 AMHappy to answer. I don’t like being a drag on a team, BUT you inevitably will be your first time or two through, even after watching videos ya know? I’ve been at this game for years and by most accounts I’m a good, chill, player, but have only done Eater of Worlds once on a guided game in D2. It was a pretty good experience, but I still felt like I caused a couple wipes and wasn’t a ton of help. Second, I really want to play with people I like. Finding five other random people on the internet who are chill and not gonna freak out, and also have the time and skill to raid...that just feels like a daunting mountain to climb. Best experience I’ve had in raids was a Wrath of the Machine run put together through the 100.io! I posted I was max light, had plenty of good builds, and was looking for guides. Had a GREAT group of five guys who got me through. I do with raids were less mechanic heavy. It just feels like it’s overkill right now.

Editado por Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 1/26/2019 1:33:52 PMI just don’t find them fun. The mechanics are convoluted and unless you have a full group to regularly play with, it’s a terrible experience. What is the correlation for playing a timed and death defying game of match the pictures on the wall during a boss fight? I just think it’s convoluted and arduous. I don’t like spending 7 hours of a day getting to Riven only for everyone to be tired of it and back out because everyone was either completely new to it or inexperienced. I would GLADLY limit myself to a single piece of raid gear a week for a version of the raid that was more like a strike. Because then it would actually be fun. Which is what I want out of my games over anything else. Synchronized mechanics where one person messes up thus ruining it makes it a tedious an unfun trial and error experience. I don’t want my games to feel like work or a chore. I game to escape. The way this game is set up is really divisive and as it pertains to raids, creates an elitist community. I don’t want to do it every week because they are not fun so I will never be “good” at it. I just want to do it once just to do it and there is no place here for someone like that.

19 RespuestasThe requirements are god awful. Anyone who asks for a certain amount of clears or to know what to do are a-holes. Plain and simple.
