So... people who make the most money pay the most taxes? And that's bad?

yeah, to certain extent you should expect more revenue to come from the higher income sections, butttttttt we shouldn't be taking half of their income to fund the government
-
I think it's pretty fair considering they'll still have billions leftover, they're not exactly suffering
-
Editado por SuperJohnJohn: 1/9/2019 4:11:26 AMnope, to be in the one percent, you only have to make just over a million a year
-
Point still stands, they still make like all the money and aren't going to suffer
-
so wrong actions are right if no one suffers?
-
So taxing people based on how much they can spare while still making more than enough to live a dream life is wrong?
So taxing people based on how much they can spare while still making more than enough to live a dream life is wrong?
That you fail to see what is so fundamentally wrong with that statement, is just appalling.
-
You're right, they need at least a billion to live happily
-
Good to know there's people like you, who can decide for the rest of us what we need/can spare/deserve. Mein fuhrer...

The moment someone pulls the -godwinslaw!- card is the moment they lose all credibility. "You disagree with me so you must be a -godwinslaw!-" is just plain ridiculous, like come on at least try to not look hilarious

Besides, I am hilarious.

I can use that exact same argument. You, in your infinite wisdom, have decided what's best for everyone and decided that millionaires need all the money they could get or else society will become -godwinslaw!- or something
is the plural form of -godwinslaw!- also censored? Weird how it has its own unique censor
Weird how it has its own unique censor

Nonsense, I never said nor implied that, they should pay taxes, and a lot of it. It's about taxing someone on what you "feel" they can spare. That line of thinking, is so fundamentally flawed and dangerous in so many ways.

It wouldn't be based on feelings. Naturally there would be some system in place to make sure nobody gets taxed into oblivion, but if you make a million a year and the average person survives on less than 10% of that then I'm pretty sure you can afford bigger taxes while still living a lot better than the rest of us (taking cost of living into consideration too)
