Despite what other threads tell you, Bungie should NOT make Quickplay sbmm. Here is why:
For the past two days, I’ve been experimenting and messing around with various weapons in all 3 weapon slots. I tested the majority of the year 1 scouts, auto rifles, hand cannons, pulse rifles, shotguns, snipers, etc. what I found is that when I looked at my teammates and enemies loadouts, I’d find that most times they’ll be running meta loadouts aka Luna’s, bygones, dust rock or telesto.
What I found out is that said weapons I tested out underperformed against meta loadouts and had no chance of going up against those weapons even if I was the superior skilled player. If sbmm was introduced, not only would the higher 50% of players have games where more and more meta loadouts are used, but will also not even see some weapon archetypes all together.
I rarely ever see subs and snipers anymore, and when I do, they’re either in the middle of the leaderboards or on the bottom. This is all coming from cbmm so the outcomes from replacing it with sbmm will be even worse. I do believe comp matchmaking should be based on kd, not ranking though. DO NOT MAKE QUICKPLAY SBMM
Edit: I know what it’s like to be pub stomped. It’s irritating and frustrating but for the upper 50% that’s how every game will be if they implement sbmm. I DO NOT want to have to go against not forgotten dust rock blues wardcliff coils nova warp sweaties every quickplay game I go into
-
The ONLY people who don't want SBMM in quick play are the top percentile for the simple reason they won't find it as easy to pubstomp and teabag their opponents. As one person said to me "quickplay should be, get in have fun,get out". As of now it's gotten as cancerous as trials was.
-
Iron banner is sbmm.. and they complain about that. They just whine about everything

1 RespuestaThe problem with using yourself, and only yourself, as the tester in a crucible weapon experiment of Y1 guns vs meta guns is that you develop that wildly inaccurate assumption that Y1 guns can't beat meta guns. Try your experiment again, but this time use players who are objectively better than you in addition to yourself. You tend to get more conclusive evidence when you have multiple people reporting identical results. Your experiment is flawed from the start if you're the only one doing the testing. TL;DR - Your argument has no merit because your method of testing only has one tester, you. You need more people of varying or greater skill providing similar outcomes for your argument of "Y1 guns can't beat meta" to be invariably true.

Bungie is waaay too incompetent to create a balanced pvp enviroment. Took then half a year to even adress telesto. At this point I dont even expect them to fix shit anymore. The bar is that low.
-
2 RespuestasYour logic is ass backwards due to the lack of sbmm people want to run meta stuff because it allows them to stomp on others or battle for a win. You introduce sbmm at least more the people who don't want to run meta thing can but won't be in a division where they will be punished for not running meta shit

26 RespuestasBullsh1t! We. Need. SBMM. Otherwise soon the top 5% players play alone because the casuals and bad players left crucible. Get it? This is indirect SBMM, why not now? And the meta has to change but i think even Bungo don't know how. Luna was a big mistake.

2 RespuestasI'll be honest, I rarely see good close games. Maybe 3 in 10 matches. Usually there's 1 player with 20+ kills and everyone else just doing their best to compete. The OP weapons dont help things either. A highly skilled player should be paired with other players who have equivalent skill and valor/glory resets. It would make for a more balanced and competitive PvP scene wouldn't it? Isn't that the point of PvP? Separating players into tiers would allow mediocre players to learn and improve and would also give the top tier player a challenge. I mean would it be remotely fair to throw a kid learning to box in the ring with Mike Tyson? Of course not, it would be a bloodbath or worse every time and I guarantee the kid would just quit boxing. Don't get me wrong I have fun in PvP more often than not, but the match making doesn't promote fair, balanced games from my experience thus far. But that's just my opinion.

18 RespuestasNever seen a good player complain. Ever... SBMM is the train all the lower skilled (garbage) crucible players are riding now. In hopes that if implemented they’ll be as good and special as their moms told them they were. If it were implemented it should work exactly like glory. Make Valor 5500 max and make it so you lose Valor on loses. Give the higher tiers of Valor increased drop rates, ornaments, and chances for masterworked weapon drops. Here’s the thing. Bad players don’t really want SBMM. All they want is participation trophies. They want the same chances at the weapons that are meant for THE BEST. The only problem with this games crucible is a bunch of players thinking they are entitled to things just cause they bought the game.

4 RespuestasWhat happened to PvP. Everyone wants to win but nobody wants to try.
-
I would be fine with sbmm in qp
if skilled players get up to 5x the amount of loot per game and up to 5x valor depending on skill rating while scrubs are capped at normal loot/valor AND 2x/3x valor weeks disappear
-
So, you're bad and would rather be able to farm the people just in there for engrams instead of getting put against people who are actually trying. Gotcha.
-
2 RespuestasQP definitely has SBMM but it’s divided more loosely. Get one of your characters up to 1.96 KD or 2.4 KDA and you’ll notice a sharp jump in the skill level. Bygones will disappear, you’ll never find yourself shooting other players in the ear, and you better slide around every corner.
-
4 RespuestasGlory should be removed and Comp should go back to SBMM. Players could choose CBMM in Quickplay or SBMM in the new Comp.
-
no sbmm. anyone who takes quickplay seriously is delusional. who cares about winning in a game of crucible that won’t matter after you find another match. just kick back and try to defeat as many people as possible. if someone is stomping you so be it, he is the better player. although, i do not condone 6 stacking in quickplay to win and mercy every match. it’s pathetic if you aren’t doing it to level with valor rank ups
-
If only we had dedicated servers I feel it would fix everything
-
But alas, there is one fatal flaw in your argument. A better player using a non meta loadout can easily beat a lesser player using a meta loadout. Even if they couldn’t (but they can), people will still use the meta 90% of the time so it doesn’t matter anyways.
-
So don't add even matchmaking because then I'll have to use the meta?
-
17 RespuestasWhy not. If you are that good then you should be matched with other good players. Being matched with low skill players just so one can celebrate victories is a bad approach to any pvp game.
-
Seems like you're terrible at science.
-
That was the least convincing argument for not implementing sbmm.
-
I have an OG Antiope that I’m dying to try as the flip to my Arsenic Bite. Wonder how well it will work now....
-
4 RespuestasThis game doesn’t need sbmm ESPECIALLY in quickplay. If you are constantly getting wrecked by “tryhards” then maybe you should get good (lol) like the rest of us had to so that won’t happen anymore. I find it sad that you people would rather have bungie babyfy and nerf the crucible matchmaking for you so that you don’t have to go against the big scary “tryhards”.

Editado por PR4X1S: 12/24/2018 9:38:41 PMI can't vote either way, because I usually only do my crucible milestone each week, then I'm outta there. Dunno if this is due to game modes, or getting pub stomped. I'm not a great player, usually end up positive but lower half of my team, I'll play iron banner if I want a weapon or armor, if not I'll avoid it Mayhem is where it's at for me, quick paced with a Lotta power usage and zero stress but a Lotta fun. But in summary my opinion is the meta must change allot more often, at least monthly, all weapons deserve their time too shine, and we deserve the chance to use them and survive, lest they get relegated to the vault and forgotten.
-
You either wait forever to be matched or you play uneven matches. Maybe they should have an option load when you pick quick play.
-
4 RespuestasYeah it really needs it it’s not fun get stomped by sweaty trytards the crucible is at its worst that I’ve ever seen it
-
12 RespuestasSo your argument as to why the majority have to have a shitty experience in quickplay is gun variety? Try and look at things from everyone’s perspective, not just your own, and you might find it enlightening.
