So before I get started I'd like to make it clear that I for one am totally on board with joining the Fallen, I have nothing but sympathy for their current state and actually kinda avoid killing them in game (yeah cringy whatever). That out of the way there is one big hurtle we'll need to get over before we start shacking hands/claws...
The denizens of the city. Now this shouldn't really come as a suprise to you but the people of the city are horrified of the fallen. Despite our actions that in truth have actually created a decline in Eliksne fear, out of all the people in the solar system the remnants of humanity without light have had the most trouble with the Fallen.
Since the dark age humanity has been living in fear of the fallen and have passed on this fear to their children (example: the house of devils). The Fallen have brought the city to its knees twice now and have probably taken more lives then the Red Legion, these actions must have rightfully so created a stigma in the eyes of regular humans.
So even if by some miracle the Fallen walked up to our door and decided they wanted a peace treaty out of the blue, it wouldn't be up to the Guardians to decide this but the people who reside within the city walls. Despite the travelers work, humanity will always be afraid of something that isn't them, and no matter how willing the Guardians and Fallen maybe willing to unite in the end it's up to the people to decide... And if they say no? We can't really do anything about that
But what do you guys think? Feel free to correct me in anyway and I hope you enjoyed this

I think moral ambiguity makes the story LESS interesting. Destiny needs to tell a simple story with complex back story and complex characters. This "moral gray area" crap is getting tiresome.

9 RespuestasWho tf cares about the useless humans In the city? Their opinions don’t matter...

3 RespuestasI think that a non-agression pact with Mithrax's and Variks' Fallen is probable, but I don't think a full-blown alliance would happen until the Darkness arrives, when everyone except for the Hive, Vex, Taken, and (more than likely) Scorn would band together to survive.
-
I think it would be more of a let's end our fighting with each other, we both have bigger problems, you need a home, a sence of permanence and safety, we would like to not lose ours, and our own sense of safety. We're beyond having the choice to offer a home, they are permanent residents here on Earth, least we can do is be better neighbors.

10 RespuestasI can see if the reasonable possibility of an alliance with the Fallen, but one of a common enemy. Not a; let's all sing Kumbayah and be bestest best buds now because we all love each other! There's way too much animosity and revenge by many on both sides (the citizens of The Last City and many Fallen themselves). Trusting Space Caligula is one of the more idiotic things I've seen suggested too.

5 RespuestasThe real problem is they’d be too hot and distracting.

3 RespuestasVariks and I are working on this
our child will help bring us together, I know it
1 RespuestaDon't let this distract you from the fact that having suicide bomber troops mixed in with your regular troops is incredibly stupid
-
If the people of earth's colonies can forgive the Sangheili, the people of the last city can forgive the fallen.
-
If the people say no then there’s nothing we can do. Mithrax and Variks are far the only ones allowed into the Tower. If Mithrax and Variks’ followers are our allies and the people say no then I’m sure they’ll stay on the outskirts like they’ve been doing but they will receive our aid regardless of the people’s choice. The people’s choice will only be about letting the Fallen into the city. It is the Vanguards choice to be allies.
-
2 RespuestasThe new Scourge raid will probably have a bit to say about this. An alliance would always be tenuous at best, but I’m up for it. I don’t think we will see a real alliance until Variks comes back into the story line...I miss that lanky, ship stealing cricket.
-
3 RespuestasDo you hear the dialogue of the citizens at the tower? Some indicate that they don’t even like us or think we’re dangerous
-
20 RespuestasWell, from an American perspective... The French: Our enemies in the French-Indian War. Our oldest ally now. The British: Our enemies in the Revolutionary War. Our closest ally now. Canadians: Invaded us in the War of 1812. Friends now. Mexico: Went to war with us over Texas. remember the Alamo? Our ally now. Some of the EU: Includes Austra, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Turkey is interested in joining. We fought those guys in WW1. More of the EU: Germany and Italy. The bad guys in WWII. Allies now. Japan: Attacked Pearl Harbor, forced us into a war that killed 250,000 Americans. And we nuked them. Allies now. Still more of the EU: Poland, Romania, the Baltic Republics. Enemies in the Cold War. Allies now. We've been turning enemies into friends for longer than America as a country has existed. It's just the way History's pages turn. The Eliksni could just be one more page. Some day, we might know them as humanity's first off-world allies.

5 RespuestasThere is a fallen captain that you meet in a side mission. You help him fight a hive knight. And later he goes to the tower and joins a guardian fire team.
-
Screw tbe fallen , they invade my planet , kill my people . I hope I get to put a bullet through the head of the last fallen . The enemy of my enemy is NOT my friend , fortunately my guardian is a demigod so kill them all and grab the loot.......
-
You make a good point. Kell of Rain recently mentioned how people are afraid of ghosts too. I just hope the common folk can keep an open mind...
-
I could see us allying with a small group of Fallen that's tired of all the BS and just wants peace. Mithrax says to just let us have the Traveler since we've earned it.
-
3 RespuestasMithrax, you're talking about Mithrax as the Fallen who walks up with a peace treaty.
-
2 RespuestasI could see the guardians in a alliance with the fallen. Not necessarily the last city. Wile the fallen have been the biggest compounding threat technically there have been overall a minor annoyance for us since the Guardian (our character) was reborn as we and our fireteams have almost single handedly driven the fallen race into a pre extinction phase. The house of dusk was formed out of a need for survival and at every turn we have killed them even when they weren't necessarily troubling us. We will at least justly slaughter the next group of fallen that are assaulting our city in the next raid because there attacking us.
-
Desperate situations call for desperate measures. When the Darkness arrives, it won’t matter what the Fallen did, or what anyone did to each other in the past. We must all fight together as one in order to stop the Darkness from destroying everything.
-
Yeah, the fallen have done some horrible shit to humanity, and they would have wiped us out if we didn't stop them

1 RespuestaEditado por TripleF73: 12/4/2018 4:04:33 AMI always remember 3 things about the Fallen:- 1. Battle of Six Fronts. 2. Battle of Twilight Gap 3. Any Lore about the WarLords and why ordinary people put up with their despotic rule before the Iron Lords started taking them out. The Fallen came to our Solar System and instead of asking for help or offering it to us, as they could plainly see that we had suffered the same Fate as their own people’s “Whirlwind”, they started massacring the survivors of the Collapse and stealing technology. From what the grimoire says they even take perverse joy in killing unarmed children. Why? Because they went “mad” as a race over the “Great Machine” staying with us when it abandoned them? Well there is a good reason why that happened. Possibly because we wouldn’t tolerate those “Risen” who did go mad after the Collapse and start butchering their own people, whereas the Fallen ritually butcher their own and turn them into dregs. I feel sorry for the Fallen, I pity what they have become, however just as I would pity a rabid dog, they would still need to be put down, just as the Fallen do. I’ve always thought that peace and an alliance would be a good idea, but I feel that as a species they are beyond redemption. TL;dr, In short, -blam!- ‘em, this is our System , (pulls out shotgun, best Farmer Palmer accent), “Git orf moi laaand”😀👍

3 RespuestasUnless you have an sjw writing the story. Then they will just force everyone to get along like nothing happened. Just like in halo.
-
If Variks is able to unite the houses like he wants, than we could see a true alliance with a redeemed and reformed fallen.

Editado por Demon_XXVII: 12/4/2018 5:31:28 AMWTF? What's next ? Hive as pets ? There will be no Fallen Alliance Nor Cabal (let's fly to their home planets and kill them all at source, nuke their homelands!) There will be no citizenships, rights, passports, assimilation! We kill, we conquer Never surrender! 😆
